  1. Looks interesting. (He also has a subscription newsletter at http://mike-parnos.com/ with a 2 week free trial with no credit card required). I found you a used copy for $10.13 (it retails for about $35) http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1934674028/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1325005276&sr=8-1&condition=used can also get a new one here for $15.95 http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1934674028/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&qid=1325005276&sr=8-1&condition=new Hope that helps! 2. Hi, does anyone have a cracked copy of this excellent Tr@cknTrade trading platform? ALso I need the Bulls and Bears plugin which includes the excellent Advantage lines and BullBear bars (RedLight/GreenLight). It currently runs on data supplied by FXCM. Here is the website and they have a 14 day free trial: http://www.trackntrade.com/forex/ Looks very interesting. In many ways a much better platform than Metatrader, but the cost is stiff. One time $1295 for it all.
  3. What is the best way to practice with Metatrader4 when the markets are closed? Ideally I'd like a slow motion advance where I can see my indicators changing bar by bar and I can actually practice taking trades, placing stops, moving the stops and exiting. I want to do this during the weekend when markets are closed... Is there a application designed for this and if so how do I apply it? Perhaps a Metatrader simulator of some kind? Any Suggestions? Thanks.
  4. I am finding that "What's New" and "New Posts" buttons return basically the same results. Why have two of the same thing??? I have a better idea... First, I have a problem. If I haven't been here in a couple days, either of these buttons will return up to 100 threads of "New Posts". My problem is that when I start going thru them, at some point when advancing pages, I get the message "Sorry, there are no new posts" (or equivalent; I don't remember the exact wording). Bottom line, it just happened to me and I missed the last 78 posts! Why not change the button "What's New" to "Posts in the last day", so that if we get cut off like above when going thru the "New Posts", we will have a way to resume going thru posts we haven't read??? Hopefully Management can implement this or something similar soon...
  5. Me too. getting the same problem and i did clear my cache. not having this problem on any other site... 6. David's the finest poster on this forum, bar none. Would hate to see him leave over politics and a war of words. Kardel, just do the right thing and we can all happily move forward. Thanks.
  7. If you don't mind my asking, what method are you using to enter? I see nothing wrong with using a big stop loss as long as the %risk is appropriate for your account size.
  8. what about the "code" feature? is that fixed???
  9. Does anyone have the KING system for trading eminis? Sounds very intriguing~! http://www.eminimethods.com/Welcome.html
  10. I'd like to have a discussion on trading RANGE BAR charts. There are some unique features of them. First, they are not time based. Depending on the size of the range, it can take milliseconds up to days for a bar to form. Secondly except for the last bar of the trading session, the bar will always close on the high or low and open the next bar at least 1 tick/pip past the previous bar's high or low. Another interesting feature is that the size of the range can be optimized for the market to account for volatility and trading objectives... I have just recently started using them and have found much less clutter/congestion and because of this support/resistance is clearly defined. Also, the indicators seem to work better with more reliable signals! Also, trend lines work well with range bar charts. Please share your ideas on this excellent charting method.
  11. I think your problem due to not enough posts...
  12. Hi Friends, hoping that someone here has tried this new signal service from Tycoon U and can give feedback and the bonus PDFs. This service focuses on identifying when insiders have bought huge amounts of out of the money options just before big events such as earnings releases, FDA approvals, tradeovers, Govt. contracts, etc. Then you follow in their footsteps and voila ! Can you please provide the PDF bonuses "The Secrets to Trading ‘Price Shock’ Opportunities for MONSTER Gains" and "The Biggest ‘Price Shock’ Mistake Investors Make" that tell exactly how to identify price shock stocks with this unusual options activity and trade them? Thanks. Promotional Video: http://www.tycoonu.com/subscribe/pages/priceshocktrader_open_video Written Sales Pitch: http://www.mediafire.com/?177hvcwxg8xmnp7
  13. In general I am against trading Penny Stocks, except if they are legitimate companies that you have researched and are in a sector which is in a strong trend. I have done very well with junior mining stocks. For instance, I bought 5000 Hana Mining for c$0.37 and it was recently trading c$4.16. I sold half each time it doubled so my initial stake is long since off the table and I'm down to holding only 500 shares... I strongly recommend if any stock doubles, sell half to recoup your initial investment.
  14. The "trade management" part was a joke. Just fun to see all the interesting places of the world and to see there is joy in all people's hearts !
  15. It's in the general forum... wasn't promoting anything. It's enjoyable to watch.
  16. Enter trade...enter stop... then watch this video until the end. You will either have been stopped out or the trade will have move far in your favor. Watch in HD and full screen if you have the power. Enjoy !
  17. They just released the beta testing demo for Metatrader5 and I downloaded it directly from their website. Does anyone know how to add stocks and futures? And most importantly, does anyone know how to convert custom indicators from mq4 to mq5? There is a support forum of MQ5 developers here: http://www.mql5.com/en/ But the company "support" is apparently nonexistent. Great idea for your beta testing. Release the platform but no way to give feedback or get help....... WTF!!! ???
  18. I have a better idea. Let us ALL get rich FIRST and then we can donate directly to the charity of our hearts ! With our mutual help,I believe this can happen...
  19. Agreed, but the US authorities are a mighty determined bunch of azzclowns. What if they somehow outlaw or prevent US citizens from having overseas accounts? Any US citizen would have to close their overseas account or face the fury of "the law". Hope it doesn't happen, but if it does, Currency Futures are an attractive alternative. That is all I was trying to bring to light. I have nothing to gain no matter what folks end up trading...
  20. IF leverage goes to 10-1 on FX in the US, you will get a much greater bang for your buck with the futures. 1 EUR/USD FX contract would have a $10,000 margin requirement. 1 EUR Globex Futures contract would have a $3,375 margin requirement. That's a huge difference between same sized contracts. A mini contract is not comparable as it offers mini price appreciation...
  21. There's been a lot of talk about the CFTC's proposed change of leverage to 10-1. If they do it and you live in the US, you may be screwed. I wouldn't put it past them to block you from opening an account outside the US (and force you to close any that are open) ! A good alternative to Forex is US Currency Futures. For instance the highly liquid Euro Globex futures contract is traded on the CME, with a point value of $12.50/point. Margin is $2500 for a day trade and $3375 for contracts held overnight. Lightning quick fills and no more of those hideous "spreads" and "requotes" to deal with. Commissions are minimal; about $2 at Interactive Brokers where I trade. Also, your broker isn't trading against you, so no funny business... Anyway, just thought I'd bring this to light for the benefit of all you fine folks !
  22. I understand we are not allowed to share Hector's system on this forum. I am considering buying it and just want as much feedback from those who have actually used the Hector Trading system before I commit my hard earned funds to it. This seems like one of the most logical approaches to trading. I've had my fill of get rich quick forex "systems" & "EAs" that promise the moon & the stars and deliver garbage or worse, losses... http://www.hectortrader.com/
  23. The folks on this board have been good to me so I thought I'd let you in on a little secret. If you have some options well in profit, you will often find that the Market Makers will try to screw you on expiration day by maintaining a wide bid/ask spread. Lets say you own 10 of the ten strike calls and the stock is trading at 12. You may find that the bid/ask spread is 1.70/2.30 . Rather than selling the options for 1.70, try this instead: right at the close, short 1000 of the shares. Then when you are assigned the shares over the weekend they will be offset by the shares you are short. In effect, you will receive the full 2.00 value of the options and thus make an extra $300. Conversely, in the case where you own in the money puts, you can buy an equivalent amount of shares right at the close to realize the full value of your in the money puts. Hope this is helpful. :)>-
