Here is the next Bomber system from a russian website:

http://www.multiupload.com/6ITHCP60E3

The charts are clean, I like it.

Rules are easy:

Go long when all 3 indicators turned blue, go short when they turned white.

SL = last swing high/low

Take Profit when the forsag1 (Period 55) changes color.

Timeframe: M5 and higher

Only on the active candle the colors can change.

Once the candle is closed, the color stays = no repainting.

If you see something different, please let us know.

Hello Fxeasy5,

Sorry to tell you but the indi repaints.

I put vertical lines on the buy and sell candle en let it run for 30 min.

Afther this time the vertical lines didn,t mach the signal candles anymore.

Second test: so i let the chart with indicator run for 30 min appr.

Afther this time, i attach the same indi in a subwindow, the signals are repainted/recalculated, cause the signalbars are not the same as with the first indi.

When a indi doest repaint: the signals of the first indi (with appr. 30 min running time) are the same as in the second subwindow when you attach it to youre chart.

Ikke

Ikke,

I will test it.

Please, it is not "my" system, I do not defend it.

If the indicator behaves like you described, there is a question:

Does it matter ?

Do we get bad signals or worse signals because of its behavior of "repainting" ?

Another thing: when we get an entry-signal ( all indicators just got the same color ), why not taking one second to click on another timeframe, then click back to the main timeframe ?

Then we see if the entry-signal is still valid and take it.

I think the main point is in the quality of signals. Do we get more profitable signals or more losing signals ?

Next point: do we get better signals by changing the timeframe before we take the signal ?

If we get more winning signals with either just running the system on 1 timeframe or by switching timeframes to confirm a signal, then the repainting does not matter at all .

Fxeasy5,

First thing, i would like to say i respect youre contributions and wisdom very much, i am always interested what you say in this forum.

Regarding youre comment i totaly agree, but we must remember that tradingsystems are all about take the signals you get from it.

So if i get i buy afther the candle is closed, and later the buy signal ''disapears'' what is the signal than worth?

I like to test systems and this one attracks me, so i will test further and remember youre comment.

(Sorry for my english)

All the best to you !

Ikke,

this is just a test which I did.

I had a M1-chart running with the template for 40 minutes.

Then I attached the forsag1, period 10 and the forsag1 , period 55 to the chart.

So I had 4 subwindows now.

Yes, the new attached histograms are not exactly identical, but close to those which were

formed in real time for the last 40 minutes.

I compared the entry-signals from the real time to the new attached and the difference is

only about 5 Pips.

The new attached indicators give a slightly better entry signal.

From this little test I conclude that we can use either the real time signals without switching timeframes to update the indicators or we can update to confirm the signals.

In both cases we get profits.

That looks like a good discovery to me.

Fxeasy5,

Sure, this is a good observation from you.

Like i said this systems attracks me, but can't say why, just a fealing i gues.

Please pay attention that the forsag indi bar get filled sometimes the hole bar and sometimes just a fraction when the price moves

against the signal.

So for me it's hard to give a conclusion when a bar is blue and later on turns to 3/4 blue and 1/4 white, what is your opinion about that?

Yes, that is obvious, but for me it doesn´t matter.

What counts is the question: is the bar above zero-line or below zero-line,

because the zero-line is the trigger for a signal for both forsag indicators (sub windows).

scwon, would you mind posting the Solor Winds Mod 1 indicator ?

Trivial request, I know, but if I don't ask I don't learn.

Is it possible to change those dots to a line?

If it is, then I would be grateful if somebody could explain how, either here or by pm.

Many thanks,

Paul.

PSmith41,

the dots in the main charts are a renamed Kaufman Adaptive Moving Average

which you can find here:

http://codebase.mql4.com/420

I have no idea how to remove the dots.

You can see a line though using the varmov indicator by changing the "black" color

in the properties of the indicator.

The forsag1 indicator indeed is the solarwinds mod1 .

No problem, if one can make pips with it.

So the whole system is a combination of the AMA (Kaufman Adaptive Moving Average)

with solarwinds of a short-term period (10) and longer-term period (55).

Why not ?

I made 5 % profit today with it on M5 ( EU and GU ), now it has my attention.

Sorry, ikke.

My coding skills are not good enough to make an EA from this system.

There are some skilled coders around but I made the experience that they do not help (basically because most systems are a waste of time. they look promising on first glance but backtested with an EA they show their true face)

FXeasy5,

Sorry maybe I was not clear enough.

What I meant was for example if you are interested in this/a new system,

how do you test it?

I test new systems on demo account for about 1 week, so I get a feeling how the indies react.

This is obviously time consuming so I thought you used a different way (building an ea for backtesting or a visual backtest on mt4).

Is that the case?

Thanks in advance for your answer
