In tradestation rar file. misc.dat file is missing and although tradestation installed but i could not open any chart. And when i tried to install owndata, I am also facing the same problem. The only problem that I haven't figured out yet is sometimes you need to reload the symbols in Owndata for them to plot again in real time. ⭐ osijek1289 Posted April 19, 2011 Report Share Posted April 19, 2011 i got all what is written in that link only that i don't know how to use tradestation and owndata together, Did you understandWell, assuming you did the install EXACTLY and properly, to get it running, you start QuoteRoom first and wait for it to download the first round of data (<1 min.), then start QuoteManager, and wait for it to launch GlobalServer (you will notice that it too does an automatic import every so often = let it do this automated step), and then lastly start Tradestation. You'll probably have to click the work offline button twice. Then, bring up a new chart, and within the Format Symbol settings, your first Symbol can be "GS:EUR A0-FX", without the quotes. If you see "Waiting for Data" in the chart window, click the clock icon at the top that has "Regular Session, 24 Hr," and the other 3 US stock sessions. If the chart does not draw at that point, try going into QuoteManager, right click the EUR A0-FX, select EDIT SYMBOL, & under the Settings tab, select 'Use Custom Settings', and then click the 'Sessions' tab, and make sure the '24/5' template is selected from the drop down. Once you 'OK', if you're still not getting a chart in TS (try the various clock/session settings), and also try different timeframes to trigger it, ie., 3M/5M/10M, but if it's still not working, something is not working properly in your Owndata (it's most likely not taken the keygen). You have to press 'Work Offline' to get OwnData to start up. You might want to re-visit that you followed all the steps properly because it worked first time for me attaching to eSignal - and ever since it's been rock-steady stable. eros1973ms Posted July 19, 2011 Report Share Posted July 19, 2011 I finally succeeded...downloaded a diffent archive of the same version... now a new problem: when the data are loaded in the graph, the data come in the correct time period, but newly graphed data arrives with an incorrect time (6H later).
