jimsmith
hi, on the pic above, why is the cart a M15 while the rest are M5? Do we have a set TF?
patheway
Good question. At times I will switch to the 15 if get a better set up and that's what you see. No set TF . How are your trades going my friend? thanks patheway
jimsmith
Hi, correct if i had a 5 pip TS i would have been up about 25 pips. just going over your latest post. im not being picky, just want to know i have the entrys and exits right. Note stated pips are with 2 pips spread deducted. http://www.ignitemedia.co.nz/trades.jpg 73 pips in 11 hrs, did you live trade all this? long day but zero drawdown is good. Note if we had a 5pip TS trades would have been: +10, -7, +9, 2 = +14 pips (Spread deducted) Note if we had a 5pip stoploss only trades would have been: +29, -7, +7.7, -5 = +24.7 pips (Spread deducted) To get the full 73 pips a 15 pip SL is needed Some math: With little or no DD i guess we could risk 10% per trade. So for a 1k account we risk $100. With a fixed 15 pip SL that’s $6.6 per pip So todays trades would profit 6.6 x 73 = $481 or 48% return. Great day! My trades at last lon open with 15 pip SL: #1: +7.5 #2: 0 pips #3: +43 #4: -15 Total= +35.5 pips. 35.5 x 6.6 = $234 or 23%. Great day I feel much better about nuting the exact entrys and exits now. Thanks again p.s i just traded the GU w a 15 pip sl and took 15 pips. Edited July 1, 2010 by jimsmith
patheway
Well my friend give yourself a pat on the back. Those are all excellent entries! You see I really do know what I'm doing lol This system works very well you just need to be disciplined and follow the rules. also as I am sure you know cuz you sound like you trade for a while probably longer than I. Be prepared for a loss non and then t happens why I don't know you can have everything in perfect place and still the market moves again you. Why MM is very important. Well you have the London open now coming just do the same and you will be fine. Good night Good job Patheway Edited July 1, 2010 by patheway
jimsmith
yea, i like to get to the nitty gritty. i hope i dont sound condercending in the last post. and yes while i know MM is the most inportant, this is where i fail. i earn a living but still drive a mazda... good luck to us. Elma
Good question I don't used them they are something to do with another function of the TDI indicator but are not needed. I have changed this indicator for this system. If anyone knows how to get rid of those letters and flowers without hurting the system please do. All they are is labels under objects. Patheway To hide those letter and flower just go to TDI setting change show signal arrow to FALSE. That's it..it will hide those letter but not hurting anything..:-) Quote ~Money often costs too much~
patheway
Wow your hired! Thanks a lot elma you probably have them on there to brighten your day! Are you using my stratergy. I want everyone that is serious to succeed including me! Please do share when you can and thanks again.. hermes
I already complained about the noisy TDI but now 2 more questions? The TDI tells weak sell 108.66 and TDI Trend strong up with arrow. Which indication is right because they contradict. What means the yellow * (asterisk) around the MA? You didn't included the power price indicator in the package (right top corner)? I am lucky I have it. Thanks for the flowers we have a Canada Day today. hermes Edited July 1, 2010 by hermes more questions
Elma
Patheway, You are welcome... Yes, i'm testing your system...yesterday have mixed result. Today i'm clearer on this system so i'll continue testing it. Another need to added is must avoid high impact news releases. Just hit 20pip SL for USDCHF due to high impact news on USD. http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz204/lionmi/ry.jpg Anyway will still continue test this sytem.. Thanks again... patheway
Ok first your fine on those entrys . I am making some very significant improvements. The first thing get rid of the FX5 My concern because I got caught this morning is being safe. This s the discipline of trading. Most traders will not wait all day for 1 or 2 perfect set ups they just won't and that's why most traders lose. It's that simple. The system you have works well but it's not good enough for me. We will get there.. Happy Pips Patheway first of all thanks a lot for this system Patheway I just wanna know if my entry was allright ? even if after the entry it goes down and a pink wadda come across on explosion should i go out there of the trade if im not sure and dont believe in this system ? i stayd in and for now it going in the buy direction http://i46.tinypic.com/2d9zsk8.png

outcast
@ patheway great looking system I only found it yesterday. I am looking for something that gives accurate entries for scapling and targets of 9 pips with SL 9. last night (for me) London session I had a play and scored 4 wins 2 losses which is great but I think when i understand the system abit better it will be a better win ratio. The reason for 9 TP 9 SL is using money management form the WATO system and doubling your account in 3 or 20 trades pages 13 and 14 of this ebook http://[email protected]/document/C6ZUqaq_/W1ththe0ddsF0rex02052.html I am also using a new 1click trading program that places SL and TP when you buy. You can also watch up to 6 trades from the interface and close all with 1 click if you like. I posted it in another forum here if anyone interested but here's the link http://[email protected]/file/R_302k2O/oneclicker.html and instructions are here http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l=8EpwB&m=1aR2MilScdF0i4&b=9024bazyFnGKwrxO9iyCOQ whitenoise and jimsmith

I would wait till the pervious high (that long blue candle before your entry candle) was broken by a pip or 2 before entry sometimes and I stress sometimes it keeps you out of a bad trade
patheway
Dionisos..sorry FX5 I mean the divergence indicator get rid of it . Outcast great stuff I will take a look thanks Patheway
patheway
good call I missed the wick on that one. It's a excellent point outcast jut made whenever you have a long candle like that it could be a reversal candle always better to wait till it's broken on a M5 chart. thanks outcast I can't quite make it out from your pic but this is what I do in a case like that trade. jimsmith
Hi guys, A good lon open to trade. I missed the EU trade – gutted. The question remains – can we get on a trade well after the yellow change? (mid trend) i was painfully watching the EU going up. so +11 pips for the 2hrs - not bad. 7% return (anyone making 7% per day will we weathly) i missed 62 pips - that would have been - total 73 pips or 48% http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/4359/jpyp.jpg http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/1402/16361204.jpg http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/4603/73022230.jpg

jimsmith
thanks alot for one clicker outcast. ive been using trade manager, but find it too complicated for what we need. speed is important and this tool does it. kudos for the system: what about ditching the tdi? i know its good as a trend overview but i find it doesnt help in my trade entrys. i figure both waddars and non lag do its job for it. also: what pairs? ive had EU,GU,UJ and UC up but find it a bit much keeping an eye on all. i was thinking just the EU for the london as its movements are more fluid than the rest. GU and UJ too jumpy and UC too slow? another point: my trade day is the asian and 1st 2-3 hrs of the london. anyone know best pairs to look at for the asian? maybe the GU or UJ as the jumpyness is less in the day. jim
jimsmith
oh yea? watcha ya workin on? love to get this better... thought on the "enter late" question? yea NFP. im normally asleep when it hits so no biggie. just remember to turn my EA off! outcast
@ jimsmith Can I make a suggestion. I always try to make my trades risk free as soon as possible alot of the time on a 5m chart I will move my SL to breakeven at 5 pips profit if the trade not moving very fast or 10 pips if moving well if I am letting the trade run and not using the 9 pip TP. Then just ride it out nothing to loose. I may get out of a few trades early but I'm not lossing money either Edited July 2, 2010 by outcast for some info
jimsmith
hi. yea i was trading SL 15 and move to BE at 10 pips but i got wipsawed out a few times. Depends on the pair i guess, yen does this. im thinking BE at 15 should be ok.
