Hi Suryadi,

This EA interests me because it's a very comprehensive attempt at creating an EA which can be used to trade the T101 basket trading system.

I've spent ages going through the EA code and translating the displays and comments to English as much as I can, I've also converted the manual to Word and ran it through the Google language converter (however - this needs to be re-written in better English and including examples based on screens from the new EA code).

Here's the English version of the EA, a brief description of what the T101 system is all about (if you get it right it can earn 1,000's of pips in a week!), also included are the Word versions of the EA manual in Russian and poorly-translated English:

[Edit]:

Note that the link above is for version 6.6 of BasketBull. All the code for version 7.0 can be found here:

[edit2]:

Here's the link for version 8.0:

[edit3]:

Here's the link for version 8.2 (Note - please install version 8.0 files first because this just contains the EA and *.set files):

[edit4]:

Here's the link for version 8.3 (Note - please install version 8.0 files first because this just contains the EA and *.set files):

http://www.4shared.com/file/HwWX8gOQ/BasketBull803_Eng.html

Here's what the display of the translated EA looks like:

If anyone can create an easier to understand version of the English manual after running some tests, that will be very handy.

massa6000,

Thanks for spotting the recent update to version 7.0. I wish I'd spotted that before I changed the code to English in this one lol - the EA is huge.

From what I can see there is some different basket handling capability built in version 7.0 and the rest of the changes seem to be more connected with performance and order placement. This version is quite recent so it's still in testing I believe.

If we get any sort of success with 6.6 then it will be worth upgrading 7.0 to an English version too. The reason I had to code the changes manually is that I couldn't get correct formatting when using Google translate on the code.

The code as viewed in MT4 is in ASCII format so is meaningless, so to use mass translation, you need to open Word then open the EA source from Word. The language defaults to a Japanese character set, so if you set standard Cyrillic then you can see all the comments in Russian characters.

I copied and pasted this code from Word into Google translate, however I found that it missed out some quotes, added spaces in between the comments slashes // which left the source code in a bit of a mess. Maybe there's a better language translator out there which won't re-format the source code and will just translate the words which would be really handy :) .

I didn't get it either.

I think I got that we have to open 14 trades.

I read the manual and it seems that the EA gives some kind of signals and we have to read into the existing trades and then trade manually, not sure.

Is that correct?

Is there anyone that can give a brief explanation of how to set it up and what to do, for dummies like me :D

Hi guys,

From what I can see the EA is set up in automatic mode by default.

If it's following the T101 rules, I guess that it needs to be kept running from the start of a new week until the "Sell" Pairs move into the "Buy" pairs area.

I don't know what actually triggers the trades to be placed, and I'm not sure if all 14 will be placed. I think it's more likely that trades with the best probability of success will be placed based on indicators (though at the moment I'm not sure which ones!).

A standard trigger of this system is one of the Buy pairs taking over the the Sell pairs "anchor" position or vice-versa. At the moment I have EUR/USD which is labelled as a Sell pair in 3rd position in the Buy pairs list. It needs to replace CAD/JPY at the top of the list.

Hi Guys,

I'm now getting some trades. I've not been running the EA constantly all day (which I should have done), so if you guys haven't got any trades yet - I may had artificially triggered them by stopping and starting MT4.

14 trades were placed all at once and they're all Sells.

There are a couple of things on the screen which could be translated better - it looks as though "Trash" should be "Batch" or something similar. "Roll cart" should probably be "Reverse Basket", however it's slightly easier to understand than the original lol.

Here's what the screen looks like with trades running:

How did you get the EA to display like that? All I get when I attach the EA is the message: "start EA" and an empty black chart. I have tried all pairs/timeframes on Alpari UK. I have tried attaching the template also but nothing displays. Please advise on what you done to get it setup. Thanks.

Hi gangsta1,

You're correct, this EA can't be backtested, nor can any other EAs which monitor more than one currency pair.

I'm running the EA on timeframe H1 in a GBPUSD chart (you can see this in the tab at the bottom of the screenshot).

As norman said, you need to obtain the indicators and includes from the original Russian version and then use the English version of the EA itself.

You need to have these includes in <MT4 Directory>\experts\include:

OrderReliable_V2_0_0.mqh

WinUser32.mqh

Also ensure that you have stdlib.mqh in the same directory (this is standard in most MT4 installations)

The following indicators need to be put in <MT4 Directory>\experts\indicators:

DTOsc.mq4

EVM+Fibo.mq4

In <MT4 Directory>\experts\library put this DLL (it may be there as a default already):

User32.dll

And the EA in <MT4 Directory>\experts

Basketbull_v6.06.mq4

The template needs to go in <MT4 Directory>\templates:

Basketbull.tpl

There are preset files which you can use to import EA parameter settings and if you want to use these they need to be put into <MT4 Directory>\experts\presets:

bb_600_d1_8_rur.set

bb_600_d1_8_usd.set

As far as I remember, I didn't use the presets at all. I just applied the template to the chart and it started up and displayed like my screenshot.

Note however that the logic is quite processor intensive because it's keeping track of 14 pairs (even though it's only attached to one chart), so allow a minute or so for the display screen to come up. You may need to refresh the screen the first time you open MT4 too, just click into another chart and then click back on the basketbull chart.

Keep the EA running as it needs to build up the price history of all the pairs so that it can identify when pairs have moved from the Sell block into the Buy block and vice-versa. Hence, it could take a good few hours until the EA places any trades.

I saved the template I'm currently using and uploaded it here:

I'm still trying to work out how to operate the EA.

I've just managed to set some stop losses (not sure if they're going to trail or not) and will see what happens.

You can use the stop loss function by single clicking on the text ">StopLoss++" and dragging it away from its current box on the screen into a different box and then releasing the mouse button.

I think you can do this with any text on the screen which is prefixed with ">".

Here are the stops which got added the first time I used this:

Here's me incrementing the stops as described:

and here's the result:
