here are two screenshots of the eur/usd chart. one is maximized, the other one is not. compare the indicator in those two screenshots. When it's maximized, the indicator is only halfway, but when it's not maximized, it is in the upper range anyone know what's going on?

I would say that by putting an indicator (FXSmooth) without a top and bottom range into the same window as an indicator with a top and bottom range (Stochastics), some funny things will happen... ;-)

As we all know, there's no Holy Grail out there. That said, this is a pretty decent indicator. I checked it out on the same 30min EUR/USD chart compared to a 27period TCCI and see that it often gets you into the trade a bar earlier than the TCCI.......

 

I don't really care for the separate FXSmooth exit indicator. Prefer to use other means to exit such as swing points, support/resistance etc. . .

I don´t remember how exactly they were, but these come very near:

MAPeriod = 16 (SaneFX Period = 16 too )

MAPrice = 5

MAMode = 4

There are several indicators that show very similar signals but I do quite like it. See attached templaes. I have added a wave and look for lons above and shorts below the wave. I also include a 2MA Crossover signal on 5/20EMA.

 

The temptation is to add a whole load of other favourite indys but I think too many can tend to cloud judjement. However, I don't think it hurts to use a bit of PA in terms of significant candle formations and big numbers. Oh, and what about pivots and key news announcements and higher TFs. Ah, I have a whole army of indys I can use for all those......................

Doesn't repaint as far as I've seen. The creator also said once the bar is finished, it will not repaint. Of course it changes during an open bar, as you would want it to...

Just had a look at the VQ Indicator which does repaint and even the Stridsman version which does not repaint but I think the FX SMooth, the Sane_FX or the Market Bias or the Slope Direction indicators or the Kicker indicator are all much better IMHO. All we want is something to get us into a trade at about the right time whilst filtering out the crap. Helps also if we have something to say when to step off the rollercoaster as well. Is that too much to ask?

I tried on different timframes and 1h seems to be best (on 4h the signal maybe comes to late) Anyway check for candle close befor you go with the signal as the Indicator repains if the candle is not close. Also I think you need a better exit signal.

im sorry fxeasy, but i cant seem to understand whats written on that russian site. ive tried a few online translation sites, and i understand that the file offered for download is a bmp file. does this file actually contain the indicators mentioned? could you please upload to an alternative site like mediafire.
