If I could pick any two indicators I would suggest ADX to time entries and stay out of flat trends. And also I good multi timeframe indicator (see TOR at previous link) to see the direction of the trend on multiple timeframes. The trend is your friend ;-) Also I would suggest reading the Black Dog system. And practice on a trading simulator.
