pghiaci Posted November 22, 2009 Report Share Posted November 22, 2009 Hi I have checked out this website: http://www.fx-persia.com on this site nothing is for sale.every thing is for free(for their clients) they are offering several EAs like: Supper_Turbo , Profit v5.1 , Baracoda but I'm interested on Martin EA: http://www.fx-persia.com/backtest/StrategyTester(martin).htm it is a martingale EA but with very low DD(17%) and it seems to be very profitable. is there any one that have this EA? please share. I have contacted them and requested for some educations and they have done it for me for free.but they Offer their EAs on Prime4x , ICvector and FXOPEN brokers. please share this EA if you have it. I used the same settings and it wiped out the account. I have no manual and I did not educate it but found it somewhere and downloaded it and shared it here. I am running it on GU M1 and it is very profitable. Since it crashed on backtest with 3k (trading micro-lots), I am using it on my live-account with 5k. Right now I am backtesting it on EU M1 with 3k starting balance and it did not crash the account yet. Since there is no manual, we have to find out what it best . Edit: It crashes in Jan09 with balance 3k, even with MM=false, so it starts with 0.01 lots. It survives only with 5k starting balance. Their published backtest is strange because I used the same settings, same time-period and it crashed my account. How come ? 2. They use cracked EAs themselves but threaten people who crack their modified cracked versions. Strange behavior. 3. Don´t use the EA on your live-account, but forward test it on your demo-account and verify if it trades reverse or not. I Just checked the EA with real and demo account. They are right. The trades in some cases are going to reverse. I do not Know how But I think there is some thing about the DLL. :-? It is martingale EA so it is going to make profit even with reverse sterategy.but it can blow up account with revers sterategy what broker are you testing it? But it is too risky because PipStep=6 only works in a ranging market ( opens new position every 6 Pips away from last entry , multiplied with LotExponent ). It kills 3k balance in backtests very fast. Therefore I reset the inputs to the defaults. PipStep=30 , TP=10 (The rest is default. ) But in some months even this is not enough and the account is wiped out. This can be prevented with a higher PipStep. 50 has done it (TP=20). Needs more backtesting to find a value which lets this EA survive huge volatility. It´s always the same hassle with Martingale-EAs. Sometimes you find a setting which works in June and makes you 400%, then you backtest it in July and it wipes out your account. In the end you see that you need 10k or more to survive all months you tested .... and the average monthly profit goes to 3% up to 10% if you have found a good EA. I don´t understand how people can use this martingale-EA with such settings on a live-account. Maybe they never backtested the EA ? If they would have made backtests, they would be astonished because with these settings their account is wiped out several times each month. Starting with 0.01 lots on a 1k account, trading on 2 currencies is like playing russian roullette with a 6-shot Revolver loaded with 5 bullets and only one slot without a bullet. shabane1, where did you get the mt4stat-links for this ? Do I know the settings ? No, but just look at the closed or open positions and you will see a Pipstep of 6 or 8 for GBPUSD. That is crazy and a move of 150 Pips will wipe that account to zero.
