fxeasy5 Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather :shand: crushbeat what broker is insta. :-? Insta is a very good broker ( at least they say it about themselves ). http://instaforex.com/account_types.php They have accounts where you pay no spread. I could not get some EAs to work on those accounts, but that means nothing because it depends on the EA. Quote
didier Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather hello, I am running it on insta.. it is working.. opened sell.. hahaha thanks I have it too with same broker instaforex The first trade , finally ! :o Quote
Pipaholic Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather Mine is running on Tadawul and still no trades. It seems to have a very good record finding those trends. But still early. Six trades do not make it a success yet. Quote
Pipaholic Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather Ok mine finally took out its first trade. And it is going in the right direction. also FPA has the same trade open. But for some reason mine is 18 pips higher that theirs Quote
Kuekhatsu Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather Anybody now, what the uses of the indicator VROC(25), & how it works & how use it, please ? http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/8255/96634951.gif Quote Adamentium Trader Origin's
Pipaholic Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather My trade closed out at 200 pips. Can't complain at that. The one at FPA closed out too, making it 6 wins out of 7 trades Does anyone know what makes this EA tick? Quote
MartyGale Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather When I see an imbalance in the rules between buy and sell I immediately think of data fitting. This EA does a buy on a Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri but only a sell on a Mon and Thu. What good reason could there be to have a strategy that works this way? Looks over optimised to me but time will tell I guess. Quote
alansim Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather WOW Impressive ! 6wins out of 7trades ! :-bd Anyone got the latest version 2 or elite version to share please ? Thank u... ;) Quote

Pipaholic Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather I emailed them to ask them about version 2. If you want to buy version 2, you have to buy the first version and then the second. And pay twice. I was a little disappointed in hearing that, so I'm testing it from here. :)) Quote

Looks over optimised to me but time will tell I guess. Very2 Intresting & So Mysteriously ... =D> But What use of the Indicators VROC in this EA ? I found this at MQL4 Code Base; here's : Volume Rate of Change (VROC) Volume Rate of Change (VROC) is an indicator of the direction where the volume trend moves. Its idea lies in the fact that almost all important graphical formations (peaks, foundations, breaches, etc.) are accompanied by a dramatic increase of trade volume. The indicator is the difference between current bar volume and the volume n periods ago. If the current bar volume is higher than it was n periods ago, the value of the indicator will be positive. If the current volume is lower, VROC will obtain a negative value. Thus, the indicator gives an idea of the volume change speed. Determining the calculation period is very important while working with this indicator. Short periods of 10-15 bars show sudden changes of volume. However, for signals that are more realistic it is better to choose periods of 25-30 bars. This gives a smoother and more rounded line and makes the analysis easier. At the same time, using short periods gives a more broken, "noisy" line and complicates the analysis. Quote Adamentium Trader Origin's

Now i hope you guys will start a forward test of this EA and hopefully can share your results soon... :) Quote
hyperdimension Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather Volume in MetaTrader is number of ticks within a bar, and not actual amount of currency that was traded. So if this EA uses volume as if it's amount of currency traded, then it wouldn't make sense. Quote
hyperdimension Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather Insta is a very good brokerIt's rated as a scam at Forex Peace Army. Quote

loulou69 Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather good backtest on 4x project http://www.4xproject.com/robot/review/forex-godfather/ \m/ and good demo starting :-bd Quote
Profitiser Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather I prefer to stick with alpari or oanda :) How about you guys ?? :) Alpari is crap because their live spreads are up to 100% higher than their demo spreads. This means any results from forward testing with demo accounts can't be replicated in live accounts. You should try beamfx.com. They also got very good reviews and offer free VPS. Quote
bratt Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Re: (REQ) Forex Godfather @Profitiser; Beamfx is just an IB for CMS and other brokers;-) besides, forexd0gfather that this thread is about is not very spread dependant - if at all. alpari and oanda both are decent brokers imho. Quote
