jmwaraujo
Re: (REQ) Personal Fundamental Analyst (PFA) It's a commercial one, isn't it? ;) :( Yes. Hope someone can share it. I've found this web site for COT data: http://www.timingcharts.com/index.php And also found COT indicators for Metatrader: http://www.cot4metatrader.com/home/downloads/ The only problem is that you need to pay a monthly fee to receive a file every week for these indicator to work. While the Personal Fundamental Analyst (PFA) you buy the indicator for one fee only ($299) (no additional payments, no monthly payments). http://www.nnea.net/personal-fundamental-analyst Please share it
vladv
Re: (REQ) Personal Fundamental Analyst (PFA) If it's working with a COT datafeed even if we educate it to be free to use,it's useless without the subscription...... Hi vladv, The Personal Fundamental Analyst (PFA) indicator does not needs subscription (no additional payments, no monthly payments). I think this indicator connects directly to links that provide COT data issued by CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission, see link below) which provides FREE COT reports. http://www.cftc.gov/marketreports/commitmentsoftraders/index.htm The Personal Fundamental Analyst estimates intrinsic value, it compares data to the current exchange rate and decides whether the currency ought to rise or fall. PFA accurately measuring the relationships among the variables. There are three different ways that futures positioning can be used to forecast price trends in the foreign-exchange spot market: flips in positioning, extreme levels and changes in open interest. The PFA indicator calculates this automaticly. I think this indicator could be extremely usefull.

TheBeast
i think this indi cannot give signal on GU...already 3 days no signal buy or sell..anybody got same error? Please realize what this indicator is trying to say... It is looking at weekly published COT figures. So there will be times (sometimes weeks on end) when there is no signal. On the website it says it can be useful for day trading but I very much doubt its use for that. It can give *an idea* (far from bullet proof in my opinion..) of what the next week could bring. Just wondering if some of the coders could have a look through the code and could decypher where the EA gets its data from please? Would be nice to know how to obtain this raw data. Thanks in advance! John

Hi mtx_69, Signal only changes once a week, as these signals are based on COT data which is released every Friday by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). http://www.cftc.gov/marketreports/commitmentsoftraders/index.htm There are various books about this subject on this forum. Type on the search box "Commitments of Traders". Try this link for "Commitments of Traders Bible by Stephen Briese" and "Commitments of Traders: Strategies for Tracking the Market and Trading Profitably by Floyd Upperman": http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/233-NEW-all-about-COMMITMENT-OF-TRADERS?highlight=commitment+traders Also try these videos "ForexMentor - Forex Profits with COT by Frank Paul": http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/4540-FOREX-PROFITS-WITH-COT-by-Frank-Paul-from-fxmentor?highlight=forexmentor Hope this will help you understand about COT. :) mtx_69

jmwaraujo
Hi darksorrow, I just drag and drop indicator onto chart and it works fine (as any other indicator). Have you downloaded both PFA v2 ex4 and mq4 files? Did you put both files in the Metatrader\experts\indicator folder? Maybe you have other charts open with too many indicators, try to close some charts. In last resort, try to reinstall Metatrader or install another Metatrader in a different folder. Hope this can help you. Cheers.
