I have tried first version today as well and had a crash. I have windows xp 3sp and use alpari uk live account. Hope you get the second version fixed, Don. You can set Logic to any value, EURUSD (and EURCHF, EURGBP, USDCHF) will be traded by its own logic ONLY. I don't know why did you get different results. Don Posted July 17, 2009 Report Share Posted July 17, 2009 Re: Megadroid Pro ShaKerZ, things are continuously changing and developing... ;) There are NO MaxSpread and Logic settings on the ORIGINAL (uneducated) MDPro. Then there was my first version that used the same (EURUSD) way to trade all the pairs. This is not good, since we discovered that different pairs are traded differently by the .dll in MDPro. Then therefore an "ee2" version has been created with the Logic setting, where all the basic four pairs are traded by their own logic, but if you want to trade an officially unsupported pair, then you can / have to change the Logic parameter to the value which gives the best results for that pair (backtest it!). Ive run now 30 hours with NO trouble at all.. I only copied the mq4 as I like the mt4 to compile for me when I start the terminal. That's why I'm asking what version of mt4 you are using... I still have not experience one crash yet.. been runnin over 36 hours now.. I am runnin xp on mt4 v224.. I have MdPro ee2 with time window runnin now on 2 different laptop.. No Problem.. did several backtest last night ALL ok... The only thing I can not get it to do is to run opti but I am gonna play with that some more today.. Maybe its a MT4 v225 issue.. It seems like every time whats his name comes out with a new version of MT then there is a follow up version right behind it.. The longest I have ever seen MT between version was v220... Does that matter? try this.. exit MT4.. delete the MdPro .ex4 and .mq4 (if there is one) AND the mqlcache.dat files from the expert folder.. copy JUST the MdPro ee2 MQ4 file to the expert folder.. then re-start MT4.. Run test or whatever and see if still crashes.. Whenever you get a download that has both the MQ4 and the EX4 files always use ONLY the mq4 file... I didnt change anything in ther strategy (just default as id should use the best strategy automatically for every pair) Will now set strategies manually. Since I've entered different numbers for every opened EA I don't experience any more crashes while backtesting. I think that Megadroid PRO is the best EA long term and the only one in my account. I will do more tweakings also and let you know if I find something worthy.
