meridian
Re: Megadroid Pro EA has been modified so we can trade pairs regardless of spead. Here are Don's instructions: " Spread limit can be freely changed Some broker has higher night spreads at some pairs, therefore MegaDroid often sent out the message: "Safe spread limit exceeded" Therefore there is a new variable called MaxSpread. If MaxSpread set to 0 (zero), then MegaDroid's default built-in spread limits are used. If MaxSpread set to other number, then that number will be used as the new "Safe spread limit". If you're on 5 digit broker, then multiply it by 10! You can set MaxSpread to -1 (minus one). This tells MegaDroidPro to set the maximum allowed spread to the currency's actual highest spread. This way you don't have to guess what is the correct value. This setting is actually disabling the spread limit protection! (See Warning!) Example: you want to trade GBP/JPY, but its spread is 7 / 10 (day/night). Set MaxSpread to 10 (night spread) if you're on 4 digit broker. Set MaxSpread to 100 if you're on 5 digit broker! Set MaxSpread to -1 and spread limit protection will be disabled..." Thanks for taking the time to post that information Uniken. Kudos for you! So am I right to think you are running -1 on GBPCHF to trigger those trades? They have proved profitable for you in the past. Keep up the good work of posting your results, I have been saving them to research. It is much appreciated. =D>

I have been using MD Multi live on USDCHF at JadeFX with decent results. Sorry I realised after this...I meant USDCHF. I use Multi for this pair over Pro. EURCHF MDPro performed much better for me last month, but still only 40 pips. USDCHF scored around 4 as did EURGBP. 4 pips each...pretty sad for an entire month. I'm not too happy with performance this month....but live EURUSD GMT1 had no losses. I am live at Alpari UK Micro. Live this month: testing 1%: ADT EURUSD settings, MDPro EURGBP & USDCHF. Trading (5-25%) EURUSD and EURCHF (with original 1.0 version and MDPro). Other pairs just didn't backtest well enough. Will report end of the month. Also looking at opening scalper specific account with new broker in the near future.
jmwaraujo
Re: Megadroid Pro Hi everyone, Does anyone has a converter from Metatrader (MQ4) to Visual Basic or Assisted Creation? This would be ideal for converting EAs from Metatrader to ProRealTime (Platform used by IGindex). Since IGindex is a spreadbetting platform, taxes do not need to be paid. This would be the best way by far to invest, if EAs such as Megadroid could be incorporated into this kind of platform. I would be very appreciated if anyone can convert EAs for Metatrader (MQ4) to Visual Basic or Assisted Creation and if possible sharing a tool that those this. Thanks
Chip4Pips
Re: Megadroid Pro Sorry I realised after this...I meant USDCHF. I use Multi for this pair over Pro. Thanks for the clarification. I thought that might have been what you meant, but wanted to follow up. The good results would've been a first on this forum USDCAD with MD Multi so you piqued my curiousity. MD Multi seems to work decently on the USDJPY pair, as well, but you've gotta watch the news and shut it off for sure on high volume days. mike99
Re: Megadroid Pro I tried demo on PFGBest. The result is good. A little better than FXDD. PFGBest Direct sounds like a STP type broker, but I think they are not. Keep in mind PFGBest is based in USA. FIFO rule need to follow. Autually I do not really mind to follow FIFO rule. It will eliminate the cases of two losing trades for Strategy 1 and 2 on the same pair.

S1 and S2 both going different direction... I think it was GBPUSD... both ended breakeven... I emailed and asked them regarding FIFO rule before. It took one week to get answer!!!! Normally they reply customer's question fast. But when I asked FIFO, they did not feel like to answer. I sent to many email addresses at PFG, and finally got the answer. They are NFA regulated, no hedging. and follow FIFO.

S1 and S2 both going different direction... I think it was GBPUSD... both ended breakeven... thy2k5 PFGbest is regulated with NFA. Before I open account with them I asked about NFA rules and its influence at EA's work. here is what i asked and what they answered: ------------ Josh I appreciate you answered all my previous questions. This is likely to be the last concern I’m going to ask you before I send the documents and fund my account. I had concerns about new NFA rules which may affect the result of the EA I’m using. So I asked about this matter from their support team. This is their response: Hi Nima Parham, Thank you for your email. We recommend to use non NFA brokers, cause the new rules have effected. ECN brokers are good for our EA. We suggest to try XXX or YYY(both non-USA) as well. ----------------------------------- Nima – I would be concerned as well not using brokers that are not regulated by the NFA. You need not worry though they answered the questions for you. ECN brokers and our MT4 was not affected by the new rulings and we are an ECN broker. Of course we have to follow the guidelines like every NFA regulated broker, but we comply within our back office you should not see any difference trading on our MT4.
