I had some big hits on this pair using logic one and default GMT. Using Alpari UK, lately I am using GMT1 and have avoided the recent EU stops etc.

Well, despite Alpari messing with spreads over the trading time, some trades slipped through the cracks, and I still had a fairly profitable session. The GBPUSD had a ripper session again. A EURCHF trade closed at breakeven, but missed it and took a small loss. EURUSD also made up for some lost ground in recovery mode.

 

I made close to $50 in profit, which is really good. #:-S

The better thing to note is that despite Alpari futzing with spreads and some big losses on the EURUSD, I'm still in profit this month, and that's all that matters :)

 

Now all I have is one hanging USDCAD trade that wants to close but can't yet.

I don't mind if it actually loses, because it's probably due for a loss about now -- after it's string of winners.

If it loses I will be going into next week with 4/6 pairs in recovery mode. Should get interesting.

I have about the same, but as I trade only 0.01 and 0.02 when recovering, I think I still can sleep without nightmare.

heh, well the CAD went nuts and hit stop loss... wiped out most of the sessions profits, but am still UP from the sessions trades!

 

So for sure, I will have 4 pairs in recovery mode next week.

The EURUSD owes me $80, the EURCHF and EURGBP owe be $15 each, and now the USDCAD owes me $40....

I don't think it will be possible for the pairs to trade if the lot size they use risk too much margin. So I am not worried so much about things going completely AWOL.

SHOULD be possible to load the set file for the supported pair into the CUSTOM logic settings, adjust it there if you like, and then run the pair with the custom logic.

 

I admit, this is a pretty messy work around.... but it *should* work.

 

When bbrain gets his unplugged version out for 1.01, then I'll look into adapting XE further.

Or maybe he'll do all the work for me =D>

 

Anyway, as far as trading goes, EURUSD had a rotten month, an standard EURUSD megadroid traders would be in drawdown -- but since I'm trading multiple pairs, the losses were offset by all the wins on other pairs. What would really suck, would be heavy losses across all pairs on the same month. Unlikely, but never say never.....

Thanks so much.... Maybe if will be great when we can "prevent" some losses if we have trail stop in place.

If not a breakeven pips will be fine also. MD have a little bit of habit going to the highest profit (All the time) & yet it never close & then goes back into loses (Sometimes greater lose) & then back to 1 or 2 pips profit.

 

So maybe Trail Stop should help to prevent it.

I'm using logic 4 for GBP/USD... GMT in auto, default TF (H1).

 

DON version 1.00ee, without crashes until now... trading 4 pairs: E/U, G/U, U/J, E/J

I run XE v1.1 across two live accounts, and one hit the stop loss for USDCAD, and the other didn't.

 

I'm quite sure the TIMING of the entry determined the win/loss of this particular trade, and the difference between the brokers is going to be SPREADS. I watched the trading session and there were times when Megadroid wanted to jump in with a trade, but did not because of the spread issue. Eventually the spread comes back in at a reasonable level, and hence Megadroid makes the trade, but a bit later than the other broker and as a result, at a different entry point.

 

It just so happened that one broker managed to break-even from it's entry point, and the other one missed entirely.

 

I've seen similar behavior across two demo accounts I toy with as well.

I've only been testing for a couple days now.. been getting great results on the advanced tactics using 1.01ee.. only wins on demo acc fxcbs and alpari uk... only time will tell and unfortunatly demo is different from live X-(

Have you started trading live with TadawulFX already?

 

Unfortunately not yet. I've opened live account with them and I'll fund it on monday. I don't like three things about Tadawul. They advertise on their website that you can deposit your money to two AAA rating Swiss banks but in reality you can transfer your funds only to MARFIN POPULAR BANK located in Cyprus And if you don't have 1 million $ your funds will not be placed on segregated account (in case of Tadawul's bankruptcy you loose everything). They'll also widen eur/chf spread from 3->4 pips (they say because of too many requotes). I'll see how it goes next week, I hope MDPro can still be profitable under such conditions :-?

I'm using MDP on all 4 supported pairs, and 4 non-supported pairs (GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDJPY, and EURJPY).

So far so good, this week I have more pairs ended up hitting stoploss, and some I closed manually to avoid bigger loss... but the weeks before were very good.

 

Good - fixed spreads. So far I have only seen MDP spread warning for a day, the EURUSD spread was usually fixed at 3, but that night it went up to 5 or 6 and thus no trade.

Bad - seems like some of my trades that ended up hitting stoploss were ended in profit with other brokers as I can see here (not sure whether they are live or demo)... I ran a few instances of MT4, so none of them get over crowded - to avoid Trade Context is busy issue.
