no trades for me today on london, spreads were to high, they were all above 4 when Md wanted to trade and i don't let it trade past 3pips for most pairs, 4 for a few

Europe have switch -1 hour last sunday for Daylight Saving.

I think for the US it's the next week.

Since we are 1 hour earlier now, should we add +1 hour to our systems during this week ?

for now yes, in the long run probably not

 

i will chop and change my trade hours as the market chops and changes its volatility.

 

MD takes huge losses using asian at the moment, for me atleast the last months have been real bad so i moved to london about a 2-3 weeks ago and i have had nothing but positive results, i am definately a good 15% up from trading that session.

 

obviously what works for me might not work for you.

it didnt do to well in terms of profitability but it didnt loose either , it decided to exit the trades the minute the reversed to profit.

 

i will keep trading both until i see something change my mind.

Recovery mode use the account balance to check when a loss accurs. So all the Ea's that make a loss on this account will trigger the recovery mode. It's really best to disable this feature

I have looked at the recent losses on MDpro and it seems to be the GBP pairs which are at massive fault, the second seems to be the JPY pairs.

 

This I suspect boils down to the late British news and the Early morning JPY news, speaking in GMT of course.

 

What I deem safe to do

 

A. Not run any GBP or JPY pairs. Although I like USDJPY.

 

B. Limit the JPY pairs by colsing trade 15 minutes before the Asian session.

 

C. Keep a very close eye on the news.

 

In conclusion I think the GBP pairs are going, and I will keep USDJPY but close trades early if still open, kick the EURJPY out also, too volatile for my liking.

Sure EURUSD, USDCHF, USDCAD, EURCHF, USDJPY close before asian.

 

Maybe the other pairs will calm down a little as we move toward christmas?????

Yeah, good points. I reached the same results after looking at the trades last month. But if you wanna take care of this... watch every trade... I would rather do manual trade. The whole point of the EA is to let it run and collect profits while you are sleep as the scammers claim...lol

yea i have a sneaky suspicion that i should stop trading london, i feel as though i am due for a big loss since i have had alot of wins and minimal loosing trades.

 

i will stop EA trading for good until i can get some good results somewhere, the asian probably is the only option, and it is what Md was designed to trade on.

 

thing is the asian has been to volatile for Md to trade properly and it generally doesnt trade on the big london swings i have found.

 

does anybody here use the force trade hours for anything apart from london/asian? or are you using force trade = false and letting it run on default?

 

i have forced trade hours of 7-11 for #1 and 20-23 for #2,, but i have just removed 7-11 as i am nervous for some unknown reason :/

Perhaps your reason is not so unknow...

Actually Asian is perfect for MdPro, I feel this week is not disturbed with news or speakers during asian, so I increased risk on my real account.

Return this week so far :

+ 3.5 % monday

+ 2.7 % thuesday

+ 5.9 % tonight

Hope success will continue.

Does this version MDPro_v101ee_bbr_v11 trade only between 21 & 23 GMT?

 

And is it not recommended to make it trade more?
