icemaneu Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Re: best indicator I don't think there is a "best" indicator as most, if not all indicators are laggers and a form of moving average in one way or another. If you put all the indicators side by side, you will see that most of them tell the same story. Hence, a simple moving average and stochastic will do for me. The other "indicator" I use is higher high, higher low, lower high, lower low. ;)

Move down to H4 or H1 to see the intermediate trends and M15 for the short term trend. Always use trade with trend indicated in the higher timeframe. eg if trading the M15 then use the H1 or H4 to identify the trend.

As we all know, the best profits come from trading the strongest trends and avoiding range conditions. ADX not only identifies trending conditions, it helps the trader find the strongest trends to trade.
