Hi there

 

I don't have their course, but their River Flow system looks like its based on a couple of moving average lines and they trade on the bounces.

 

can someone, please, take a look at the attached picture and tell us what the settings would be for these two lines.

The currency pair in the picture is USD/JPY TF 15 , Date June 24, 2009 (Sever Time stamp may be different but on my browser is 10:45 GMT

OK ...I think I got it.

 

The used a Moving average Envelope === Indicators > Oscillators > Envelopes

 

Period 33, Shift 2, MA Method Simple

Apply to: Close

Deviation 0.08%

 

I'm using Tadawul FX broker, so prices may be + or - a few pips compared to the original chart.

 

If anyone can tweak it to make it even more closer, please be my guest.

Hi all,

 

I have read a similar website where there are also similar River Flow like this.

 

The only difference is it has 3 MAs instead of 2 MAs.

 

It uses EMA34 of High, Low, and Close. Also, it uses time-frame M30. But I found H1 is more consistent winnings and avoid whipsaws.

 

I will look back to my past email (many months ago), and try to find such indicator to post and share with you all. But please give me some time, because I am now on biz trip in the province until end of this August.

 

I will post everything within this month.

where did you find: Indicators > Oscillators > Envelopes

I cant find this indicator in my MT4

 

Using: Indicators > Envelopes

I've got completaly different output....

I'm using Tadawul FX MT4 225,

 

from the insert menu, indicators, oscillators then envelopes.

 

the prices may differ slightly from brokers, so maybe you'll have to adjust the settings.

 

make sure your set to M15 chart as well.

 

otherwise from these settings is what appears on my charts.

 

i'm not sure why yours would be different.

FIRST LINE:

MA period: 35, shift: 0, MA method: exponential, aplay to: low

 

SECOND LINE:

MA period: 35, shift: 0, MA method: exponential, aplay to: high

 

Or somewhere around 30, but its not so important while you always follow your choice.

Actually this system is quite similar with Chris Lori's Forex Course.The MAs is just for the beginning learner's ref.They focus on price action pattern.
