@zbear do you feel like watching these gave you a good understanding of scalping on the DOM? And are you currently using these practices?

Well, I haven't went through this course yet but I think that's valuable to learn how to read the DOM, whatever your trading style is. It gives you the chance at least to refine entries and reduce risk. Last year I've met a guy who trades for a firm and he said that he wasn't even allowed to watch a chart at the beginning. You don't need to wath the DOM all the day..just when the market enter an "area of interest". This guy uses a strategy (I've a pending request for this strategy here: http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/28309-Trading-Advantage-Course-Currencies) which involve the use of some specific levels..he trades this level using confirmation from orderflow he reads on the DOM. He trades intraday with very small risk like 6-8 ticks and go for much more like intraday swings. So DOM trading is not necessarily only for scalping I guess...
