Ok, solved this one :-)
Emu5.06 (dated 05.2014) works only in Windows XP.
Emu5.06 (dated 03.2015) is needed on Windows 7.
-
Thank you so much admis!
Yes, I cleaned up the first install and re-installed NTv22 with the above AMP key.
No errors reported!
Does Emu5.06 have a problem with Windows 7? :-(
-
I have an update on the above NT7 issue -
It doesn't seem to be problem with 32 vs 64 bit Windows.
My current educ@ted installation is on Windows XP.
When I tried to install it on Windows 7 64 bit, I have the above issue.
I also tried it on windows 7 32 bit, the problem is the same as the 64 bit issue above.
Is there a difference in the way the educ@ted NT7 works on Windows XP versus Windows 7.
Please advise. Thanks!

Hello II experts, please help -
I have a 32 bit version of the educ@ted NT7v22 working fine. I installed it on 64bit Win7 and I get the following error in orange in the log tab. I am using the latest 5.06 Emu and I have the same working copy of NTConfig.xml from the 32-bit machine.
Default Unable to load server side config file. The underlying connection was closed. The connection was closed unexpectedly.
After I connect to Rithmic, I get another error in yellow -
Connection Unable to connect to Ninja Trader data server (6 4.2 0 2.1 1 8.1 7 9/ 31 654): A connection attempt failed because ...
I can connect to Rithmic fine. But the chart doesn't have any historic data and the Reload All Historic Data is greyed out.
I do not get these errors in the log of 32 bit machine and everything works on the 32bit machine.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with 64bit install?
Thanks in advance!

OK, here is yet another one -
The site is:

I received this trial a couple of times. Both versions are uploaded.
Looks like they changed to a cl0ud model.
Not sure about the time of the change, so one or the other version may not be usable now.
admis, orfila - As time time permits, please work your magic. Thank you immensely!

FYI folks -
R@ndy had a webinar at Ninja Trader room last evening in which he was describing a new chart type - B-W-T-Supe rRenko. This apparently fixes the key issue with other Renko charts types (multiple bars at the same time, that skews the autotrader results on historic charts). Sounded like it is the next best thing for the autotrader!

goldeneagle, how about giving back to the community and sharing what you've foundthat looks promising to trade in ES and TF with this stuff? The more detail, the better.
I tested for less a than a week (which I don't call real testing) - Ran it on 2min ES and TF charts, most of the instances the levels drawn were respected for at least for a point (which gave a chance for a break even stop). Also the top and bottom of the magenta bars had similar reaction. Need further testing to confirm consistency

Hi Golden... r u the paid member of the room. I am taking the trial of the room right now today was 2nd day..But I am not getting much out of that...do you have the DOM they are using ??? is the DOM and autotrader part of your package ???
Hi lululee - No I have not been to the room. I only watched the videos... I have been trying to use other markets with ES (eg, YM, ZB, etc), hence my interest in this one. I only began testing this indi trial for a couple of days, but then they put out an update :-( so this needs a lot of testing before I can call it USEFUL. Regards.

Hello - Does anyone use this version of NT with Rithmic? I tried, but it doesn't seem to connect. Does it need any specific entry in the hosts file? Please advise.
Thanks in advance!

Based on what is shown in the webinar, I don't think that we need OFA to plot these 4 reference lines. They call these horizontal/price lines as Range (hi/lo) and Spread (hi/lo). Looks like this is based on some calculations from the overnight data. Once plotted [at the beginning of the next day] for the next day's trading, it doesn't change during the day... The only thing we need an OFA-like order flow tool is for the entry criterion - we can just get that from a simple DOM also. The trade entry is only after 100 cars already traded at the entry price.

Hello NinZa - I hope that I am not being disrespectful with this response here. I can infer that you are young from your comments here. You may consider leaning more about Reve r se engineering when you grow older. I understand that we all start with "forward" engineering first when we are young, especially thru academics in computer science. Reve r se engineering is advanced topic... Rgds.

Hi admis - Never mind. It was a matter of "Run as Administr@t0r" issue :-(
In XP, that wasn't a problem. But in Win7, I see that we run the Emu with admin privilege... I suppose to use port 80...
I very much appreciate your help!
