  1. 1 Shut down NinjaTrader

    2 Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces

3 Delete the file named '_Workspaces.XML'.

    4 Restart NinjaTrader.

5 Connect to the Market Replay

    This not working for me...

I tried it another way - it worked on 1 PC:

open a new workspace with regular 1 minute chart, load market replay, connect replay, start replay.

Open ofa chart in another workspace - it is working OK.

On another PC - does not work though...

Works fine on 1 PC, not the other...

  2. Warning regarding previous version:

Inside the code of ninjatrader.ofa.dll there is a class: OFABarsType which still can contain harmful and unsafe code for the users.

Following procedures and all dependencies must be cleaned:

    tcallPic(), Timer smethod_0, smethod_1, smethod_2, smethod_3, smethod_4

At least in the host file try to block the url: www.codedefinder.com

I'm not sure but the risk described above concerns all or almost all available patched copies of ninjatrader.ofa.dll

Based on the will of the supplier not to share the educated files to the public it is difficult to make an adjustments and upload them. As I suppose the problem concerns the supplier as well.

Taking all the findings: IMHO It is better to get a new updates (improved replay processing) and make all needed patches again in one package. If the product is complex (as ofa is for sure) it is not good idea to work on it independently and share not compatible parts of the package.

    Cheers,

Can someone post or PM the cleaned dll (for the retarded:)?

  3. Thanks trader1969 & ylidor for a smart and kind words.

    P.S.

Open the OFA (My Stuff) Library and Re-Download

Import the New Zip File(s) to NinjaTrader

    Release Notes:

    Uptick/Downtick historical backfill now available

Improved update notification process Improved replay processing :-S

Modifications to accept Momentum, Exhaustion and Stop-Run add-ons

    Improved chart layering functions

Seems like only a free version critical update was issued...

  4. From todays log:

    "Current license: Type=Regular State=Verified StartDate=2011-07-22 EndDate=2013-12-31"

    How can we extend it?

Please let me know, tank you.

Funny, I have this issue too on 64-bit PC, but all is fine on 32-bit...

    Any clue why?

  5. @thedriver, @forexmaniac84 & others

You should know you need to have a pair of indicators: EXA and OFA from the same "educated package" to work properly. It seems someone has mixed files without understanding what is going on inside.

It is because of the different names of variables exist in main library (OFA) for different versions of OFA.

I gave you an example here:

    http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/23458-(REQ)OFA-Ninja-Trader-Full?p=303456&viewfull=1#post303456

    Cheers,

    I tried, get compilation errors.

If someone is more lucky, please post it.

  6. you need to add 2 more ofa/moa indi to your chart, configure one for exhaustion at high, the other at low, give them different colors than ofa/moa, you will get dots as opposed to boxes as it would with OFA/EXA, this is a work around, not a replacement of OFA/EXA.

If you don't know how to configure an exhaustion pattern, then OFA/EXA won't help you either, you would be blindly believing in the blackbox signals without knowing why they signal in the first place.

OFA is a tool to aid your tape reading, not an indicator, exhaustion "signals" are not signals, just a visual alert for you to manually determine if there is indeed an exhaustion pattern, if you don't know how to read such patterns, you won't be able to configure the OFA/EXA, you would rely on the default settings, which are not "correct" because they were never meant to be the real patterns, but just a starting place for you traders to configure the "real" patterns in. Same applies to OFA/MOA, don't rely on the default, they are useless.

Could you show a picture how you set it up?

    I mean a chart...
