Andy, did your connection color in the lower left corner of the main NT window turn orange? That could indicate that one of the data streams on the connection isn't responding.

I was okay this morning on NT .37 with M2K but didn't trade in the afternoon.

mizir_99, just create the new symbols. Easy stuff.
 
Example:
 
Master instrument: MES
Instrument type: Future
Tick size: 0.25
Point Value: 5.00
Exchanges: check mark next to Globex
 
Go to Misc panel, scroll down to the Symbol Map section, find your broker, add the symbol name they're using. For example, for InteractiveBrokers, it's going to be MES. Press OK then OK again. You're done. You can now look it up select 06-19 for the Expiry, press the left arrow button to move the MES over to your Instrument list.
 
Point values on the micros are all 1/10th of what the e-mini contract values are. Tick sizes stay the same as the e-mini versions. Do the same kinds of entries for M2K, MYM and MNQ.

yeah, agree with you, W59 is not really a PRO software...Earik Beann has succeeded in selling a private home-made tool in a us$7500 "PRO" software....

Ninja has a limited number of "slots" for custom bartypes, and there is no way to know which companies are using which slots. Luckily we had foresight with this problem, so we designed our bars to be easily moved to a different slot. Please follow these instructions to change the slot of our bar:
 
 
 
Part #1 is to find out which slots are available in your NinjaTrader, by importing & running an indicator that will tell you which slots are available.
1) Download and import the SiInstalledBarsInfo indicator. Download link: https://www.sharkindicators.com/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=287
2) After you have imported the indicator, add SiInstalledBarsInfo to any chart. A window will open telling you which slots are available (IE, Custom0, Custom1, Final0, Final1). Write one of these slots down.
 
 
 
Part #2 is to Exit NinjaTrader, so the Config.xml file can be modified.
1) Close NinjaTrader
2) Open a file browser, and go to ...\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\ folder.
3) Right-click on Config.xml file, and select Edit. Notepad should open.
4) In Notepad, click the Edit pull-down menu, then select Find
5) Search for <PeriodTypes>
6) This will find the following lines of text below:

<NinjaTrader.Data.SiProRenkoBarsType>Custom8</NinjaTrader.Data.SiProRenkoBarsType>

7) Find the Si bar type that is missing or conflicting with your other custom bar. Change the number in the word "Custom#" to the available slot number you found in Part #1..
9) Exit NotePad, and Save the changes.
10) Restart NinjaTrader.
11) If the bar is not listed in the Data Series, then repeat these steps and use a different Custom# or Final# slot name.

You need IB or esignal to get other than Forex with 8.7, which does not work with 9.1 since you have no OD.
There is no other way.

Thank you Admis and Kit. I noticed that on this vendor's site he has two cheap laptop trading at a bar!!! I will look at the system and buy it if it works, but so far little confidence I have.

I would like to open a new thread to enlist the alternatives for the well known TopStepTrader funded account. I’ll try to refresh this first of the thread with your websites, opinions, reviews, tests, etc. First some new thoughts:

Out of the 163 individuals, 79% or 129 individuals were never able to actually pass the combine and the funded trader preparation.
In my opinion, I was a bit shocked that “only” 79% failed. I actually expected it to be much higher. Honestly, I thought that 95% would of failed.
 
Out of the 163 persons that attempted to pass the combine and the funded trader prep, a total of 34 individuals were able to receive a funded trading account.
 
The new rules: in addition to a maximum draw down that averaged $2,000, if a person has a daily loss of $1,000, or a weekly loss of $1,000, then they will automatically lose the funded trading account.
If a person failed to make any profits during the first 10 days of having the funded account, then the person loses the funded trading account.
 
Of the 34 individuals that received a funded trading account, the average earnings was a negative $900 per person. What does negative $900 actually mean? This is the average earnings after combine fee’s and data fee’s were removed from any trading profits.
 
The average would of been much more negative, but one individual reported that he earned $20,000 and then withdrew his funds and closed his Top Step Trading account. Remove this one outlier, and the numbers become even more stark.
 
Why did he close his Top Step account if he was achieving such success? Simply, to avoid the high fee’s and deductions. Top Step trader pays 80% of profits and so a person can avoid those fee’s by withdrawing the earnings and then opening a simple retail account. Another reason is the high monthly fee’s of being a CME defined “professional prop trader”. Anyone trading a funded account with Top Step is responsible for paying average exchange fee’s of $85 per month. This can be avoided by opening a simple “non professional” retail trading account.

while great company to work with, $200 combine with $2000 1st stage profit target and 20day/$4000!! “FTP”, significantly steeper requirement for same $2000 DD acct and only 70% profit share

I used it for few months and it was no good. The signals you see on historical charts have nothing to do with the live signals ( a re painter). I did not use any add-ons and cannot answer to that. What it does do is help you trade day charts ( I had EOD), which is a better way to make money specially if you are somewhat new to trading.

None-the-less couple things have read(and respect) is that--one should concentrate on 1 mkt--spend much time to develop relationship with said mkt--other words--Get a Feel and respect for whatever instrument is that U chose to take a gamble on--and then apply Ur preferred methodology/Strategy/ etc....

I'll try to make the next 5 trading days (6, 7, 8, 9, 12) for this instruments: TF, CL, YM, NQ. (EMD doesn't tick in my ninjademo, I don't know why).
 
2 contracts. First taken at 8 tick profit and the second let as runner. 22 tick stop (too big for me, maybe we should figure how to cut it down).
 
I have changed the Momentum arrow value to 3, to generate less entries.

Yes, the reversal dots do repaint - they look great historically but sadly if you take them live its hit and miss - so IMO you cannot use them on their own.

Don't use the autotrader, please. The first thing I did when I started using pro9 was to look to it's results. As the vast mayority of the automatic systems it miserably fails. Then I went to the backtest's results and checked if the trades were good. Most of them didn't check for some requeriments of the method.
 
I have done the check again today. I'll cover only 18-08 and 19-08 because you'll see the point only with this.

Even if the automatic system has many errors, if you apply the method manually, the day would have been profitable: You would take the entries at 14:32, 14:52, 15:56, 16:44, 17:32 and 19:14 with no fails.

Again, the system is a disaster, but if you do it manually... there's only a trade, a bad trade at 8:20.
 
My point is that you can't tag the whole system as a failure only because it's backtest goes wrong. It's a signal, but you must apply the method for yourself.
