MT4 ( I believe) is the most used platform in the world. Not the best but free, robust and tons for add-ons. Just google.

It looks simple to me. Bulls/bears are in control above certain lines, and the bands show you where to exit. It looks like a great system, but unfortunately, it does so because it is a "re-painter". So use it for after the fact trading only!

The new Ultimate bars use a new very complex algorithm that will allow you to lose more money faster. Other than that its the same old junk.

Yes it works very good with IB. But I could never make the set up work with window 7, only with XP. Some here said it can be done.

Prediction point: I have tried in the past, 2-3 tick target, 12-20 tick stop. so one or two stops and you will stop using it.

JS: is a server based. so the levels are supplied from the vendor with a log in, but it does look good.

Addressing the miniz, which is what I trade:

IMHO, the markets ranges intra-day most of the time ( some studies say as high as 80%). So, I believe, we can be safe to assume that it will range today, tomorrow and everyday and use the RSI or any other oscillator to sell OB and buy OS. Now, once in a while, we will have a nice trend in place that will stop us out of my ranging assumption. The key is to use a 1/1 or 1/2 Risk/Reward in order to increase our account size in the long term. We also need to be careful of the time frame we use, since a trend 5M chart is nothing but a ranging day on the 30/60 chart. Based on what I have read lately, oscillators can work better on market with heavy participation, such as the the stock market indices. But with that said please note that there is always a better trader(s) than me that is taking the other side of the trade!!

I guess he is nomalizing the VIX which could tell the top or bottom of the swing (range zone) but still fail in the trend mode.

 

Thanks for the feed back tradershare, do you know of an indicator that can do that? My thinking is that the markets are ranging 80% of the time, so with 1/1 Risk/Reward you would be in great shape trading this set up long term.

This guy(youtube trader) is not offering/selling anything and uses an online paid indicator service ( AlgoX). I am trying it now and it seems to work well. The service he uses is about $70 per month. I tried to duplicate Algox as it seems to be OBOS, but so far no success. On his last video the youtube trader seem to have found something similar to algox (some sort of bands), but again, and he does not respond.
