I think it's just a new name for the old system, now in version 2.0. They also introduced the rangebar plugin for MT4, maybe that's the reason for renaming. Watched the webinar, it looked all the same.

Well, if you entered XAUUSD on H4 using this system you could have made a whopping $30/oz. $2/oz on XAGUSD.

 

And yes, in choppy markets you might lose money. This applies to all trend following systems. Following blindly any signal leads to the same results like any manual system offers - a disaster. This system does - from my point of view - not replace preparation and analysis before entering a trade.

cdn.forexfactory.com does not resolve either. You can use "www" instead.

Please explain how to do that without replacing existing ones.

 

Symbol 9 and 10 are empty in my config (defaults). So you could add other pairs there, though I have no idea about the settings and direction (buy/sell).

You can just delete the symbols you don't want in the settings. You can also add your own pairs, like AUDUSD.

Right. Typo - 5.1 indeed. EURUSD was introduced in v5, so this v4 is AUDUSD only.

Latest is 4.11, having DLL for both pairs AUDUSD and EURUSD. Anyway, will try that out - thanks for sharing!

If something is worth the money, I still buy it, even if I got it for free. If not, I trash it. Easy as that, and I guess everyone who makes serious money does the same.

Regarding the EA: one of the rules of SST is to trade certain sessions only. So a time filter would be really helpful... is this possible to implement?

Has anyone a setting that works reliably? I'm trying the different settings in bt using tickdata (post #1), both lead to margin call in January 2010, even with $100k and 0.1/0.2 lots starting. It goes up to 51.2 Lot (wow :-)

This mt4forexea looks interesting. Has anyone analyzed their statements in terms of drawdown?

 

It is quite pricy - EUR 240 incl. VAT. Wondering if it also has all trading logic inside DLL, and is locked to one account only? Clicker, can you tell more?

They could easiliy simulate expiring orders by tracking them inside Kangaroo itself.

 

There are have similar problems with other brokers, not all of them support expiration.

conglo's method is similar to what pipstriper EA is doing. Enter with a hedge, take profit if a position is positive, hedge again, apply (limited) martingale in case it goes against you. If you use sane settings this thing might be profitable for a long time.

I don't know why but I can not backtest it. I remember that worked some time ago, but now no luck at all. Backtest just hangs, no errors, nothing. Too bad.
