  1. This beta is opening up orders and close in loss.

I know nothing about how this strategy works or if it is a good one. I just removed the IP trading info/warning from the EA. That is all.

BTW, I was running this on my demo and it opened bunches of orders and close all with very small losses. Something like 17 opened and all closed with losses. So, I still not sure if Edu version is working or not.

  2. fx4_ever, It is very interesting EA. However, i have some inquiries:

    1- have you optimized it?

2- have you tried to use limit orders instead of market orders?

    Thanks for sharing.

Fx4_ever, what have you moved on to?

I ran iwin live starting this week after a few weeks of demo trading, so far up about 13% for the week with only a couple of stressful moments :)

Would be nice if you could limit the number of trades it takes, it might then be possible to leave it running without constant supervision.

As I mentioned somewhere in this thread, I am sharing this EA 'as is' . I am no longer trading the system, thus, I don't plan on developing further on this system. I trade this system for many years in the past very successfully, but like any other martingale system, it can be stressful when market moves in the opposite direction and the lot size gets accumulated faster then we like to see. I think this system is best to trade during selective hours (quiet market hours) with combination of setting your own direction - using TC1 and TC2 options, it can be profitable without running 24/7. I now moved onto the system that fits more under CFTC/NFA ruling; i.e. FIFO, low margin, no hedging on same pair, etc.

  3. My latest results:

    $5,000.00 start balance

    0.1 lots

    100:1

    29 open positions

    DD -$978

    Margin 2620

    Margin Level 167%

New current balance $5326.50, up from $5051.25 two days ago.

So, at Friday close, I have two extra positions open and have increased my balance.

Will see what happens next week.

    Hi:

I thought it always open in pairs (correlation pairs). If so, you state you have 29 open positions. Did you close it manually? If not, can you tell how EA supposed to close?

Also, what is your Maxopen settings?

Sorry about too many questions. Just trying to understand the logic.

  4. If EA can be modified to close on 'pairs' if 'pairs > xx, it would be great. That way, 2 of the pair that are open can be closed with profit and open up the room for the new trade when delta > xxx I have set maxopen = 8 and closed 2 pairs manually with leave 6 pairs. Then, 2 pairs open later date when delta gets > xxx. But, since I have set my Maxopen = 8, it doesn't have the room for more orders. If EA can close when pair > xxx, it will keep close with profit while waiting for DD to get lower or even close-all with profit. Just an idea...
  5. Mates,

this is what I got by trying the first post link

So can anybody please share the live link?

    Thanks

There is another download link earlier post. I think it is on 1-3 pages of this thread. Can't remember the page number, but I am sure there is still one download link available.

  6. Thanks, manganate! I have been trading Grid method and Martingale very successfully for many years, so I am used to seeing DD. Also, having the MaxOpen = 8, my DD on this EA hasn't been too bad. Now, CFTC ruling, US brokers offers only 50:1 leverage, I no longer able to trade grid/martingale. I know that many of the traders shy away from Martingale, but ... well, that's another subject..

In any case, I am trying to adapt strategy that I can work around with new ruling (no same pair hedging, FIFO, lower leverage, etc.. name a few) and this EA may work for me. Your answers help me clarify some stuff and I appreciate it! Cheers!

  7. My trade has closed with profit and now 2 short positions opened and not yet closed. So far, 424 pips net gain and current DD = 61 pips (from 2 opened orders)

I guess our trade is diff between brokers to broker. Which broker are you using? I am using Oanda and Forex.com, both live accounts. I am also testing on their demo accounts as well and both give very similar results.

  8. Maybe that's the key to keep it safe. On my account i've got 16open trades.

I think it is combination of lot size + delta + maxopen. I pref to trade with higher delta + managed lotsize per my account vs lower delta + lower lot size+ higher maxOpen.

Even with my conservative settings, market movement since yesterday was not in favor of this basket trading. We'll see how it goes... (hope news will be U$ positive)

  9. Guys, what was the biggest DD u have seen trading with usd basket and what broker?

Mine biggest is now on FXCM broker (delta 300) and about 470pips DD.

    -290DD now

I'm a little over 500 pip DD. Not worried though....

I am trading with MaxTrade=8, I had to change this since my margin leverage is only 50:1. So, based on 0.01 lot allocation on every $500.00, the Max that I can go for opening the position is 8. That is how I configured the MaxTrade value. With this settings, My DD never went up more than 12% of the Total Balance. So, experiment with some options available.

  10. This should be easy enough to test. If you have a demo setup on VPS, simply force a reboot and then observe what the EA does in the MT4 terminal window. Does it retain the delta's or recalc them? Does it start opening new positions? That's how to answer your question. I have not yet done this myself.

I've done it many times and I have also set my PC to auto reboot everyday. What I've observe, USD basket comes back up and seem to know where it left off. It remembers the details of already opened orders and displays and trade continue as norm.

This is also to be the case on other settings, i.e. lot size, TP, delta, etc. Not that I am suggesting that settings should be changed in the middle of the cycle, but just as FYI. ex: When I changed the delta value in the middle of the trade cycle. It does not affect already open trade, but it will not open new trade unless current (most recent) delta value is met.
