I've tried all of the EAs you mentioned but, don't ask me why, Kain is the one and only....there will come a time when even Kain gets into trouble...we'll see

you can code a TP that is a percentage of a certain pip amount...with 5digit brokers it could even be in fractions of a pip...but you can't be sure that you can close your order excactly at TP as long as the client has to close the order by explicit close command

Everything is possible to be coded...question is, is it reliable. As long as your TS is below the broker's STOPLEVEL you have to trade with a virtual TP that isn't "granted" because it's not on the server. The slippage/requote might get you there

thanks for sharing EA #3....it's not the EA but the code inside
It's usable for EAs that depend on more than one currency pair to make them work while backtesting
The code can be used as an extension and read the missing data from history files that are availlable during backtest

Lindencourt per se are manual trading systems...FX/MX and the free availlable Daily version
There are two threads in the trading systems section of the forum and this one with the ea that forexi coded.
For all three systems there are indipendant indicators:
FX: LCSignal_wAlertFixed
MX:Lindencourt MXFixed
Daily:LindencourtDaily
These indicators can be used as signal generator if you want to trade the system manually
Then we got the ea LindenCourtExpress...this ea uses either the FX indi or the MX indi (see post #115)
The ea trades the signal the indicator generates and hopefully makes some pips.
There are several options when to close a trade....it could be SL/TP only or based on the value of a moving average that triggers the close when price crosses.
I for one have only tested e/u and g/u so far and made optimizer BT to get the best settings for 2010....doesn't mean that they would have worked in 2009. So we need some other pairs to be tested and to find out best SL/TP and whether to use TS or not....or maybe best results with price/ma
Then we need to know, what's the best timeframe for a specific pair. Lindencourt FX uses M15 for manual trading but I'm liking H1 most
If still confused or you still don't know what/how to test give a reply

it's a bit tricky for the moment not to get confused with all the indis and eas
A few things are simply put together to see whether at least one of the LC systems could be successfully traded with an ea
The indicators instead should be helpfull, if coded correctly, and they all have their own unique filenames.
As for the ea it's simply a quick test. The LCexpress can be used for both systems FX and MX. You only have to choose the indi you want in the ea code. That's why there is only one EA that has to maintained in case of additional functionality or bug fixing
The daily robot got some other features and you can't use it for the FX/MX system by simply changing the name of the indi

Hi! I am glad to say that I was able to insert the indicator into a basic EA just for testing purposes, and it is performing well. I am sharing it, as I am sure some of the brilliant minds in this forum would improve it, but it is just a begining.
Some notes: 1) it is set for 5 digits brokers, in case you use a 4 digits, fields tavnit, high check and low chack should be modified (see previous posts).
2) the EA just place the pending orders, it does not remove them, so if according to the rules either BUY or SELL targets are reached, you should delete the other pending order manually.
3) Insert in your charts the EA, and the indicator too.
I am testing it since yesterday with good results.

I've just uploaded the modified EA version for faster backtests. Included is a .set file for eurusd H1 timeframe. Showing "good" results on M30 and M15 also. I've choosen H1 because I ran an optimization for 2010 on SL/TP/TS. Looks like results are better without trailing stop.
According to the original LC rules the used indicator doesn't take into account that ema(7)/ema(21)/ema(84) should be used for M15 only...if memory serves me right their is a table with periods for higher timeframes than M15 in the manual.
Sorry for the confusion with the offline backtesting but you can't imagine how I felt when first I saw these terrific results.
The EA can now be backtested in regular mode without having to wait for hours to complete.
Btw. I've deleted the old stuff except my selfmade Indicator for LC
