I'd suggest you dispense with the indicators and just try to see the levels for yourself.. All the rules are laboriously set out in the materials shared earlier. The chart below is the GBPUSD trade I'm currently in. The origin of the move down was qualified by the brief touch and quick fall away at Point 1. That particular pattern helped define the origin and thus where the horizontal lines and subsequently where my limit order short was placed at point 2. This also happened to be a small surge up in price into a supply zone at the beginning of the London session - essentially this was a retail trader trap. The two blue lines below are my profit targets. As it happens the first half target has just closed. Both of the profit targets are placed just above the origins of the opposing demand areas.. How you individually manage such trades is an individual preference but I think the time spent in finding quality levels at extremes on the 'curve' without the distraction of an indicator is time well spent. http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6530/14062011gbpusdshort.jpg

Ha! No I'm not him. I simply sent him an email as his email address was on the video Keifer shared. It would appear there are numerous people selling this stuff.

The guy who recorded the last FXStreet webinar mentioned earlier in post #118 (not Diesel10 but the guy who actually recorded it) has the full year XLT Forex lessons from 2009. It amounts to 17 DVDs worth which he's selling at $18 per DVD.

Bullforever - It's not the name of the file you need to edit, it's the content. What you need to do is to open the play.jnlp file in Notepad, go to the bottom of the text in the file and replace "C:\My files\XLT\STOCK TRADING.vcr" with the path to the other .vcr file you wish to watch. Save the edited version in Notepad and then double-click play.jnlp which will launch the file you pointed it to. You'll need to edit play.jnlp to reflect the names of all the .vcr files you want to watch or alternatively just copy & create individual versions of that file for each .vcr file you have.

The webinar hasn't started yet - though it does in about 15 minutes. From what I see it will NOT be recorded either...

As it happens Sam has an FXStreet.com webinar TODAY at 15:00 GMT - maybe I'll see some of you there.... Forex Market Traps Summary: During this session, we will discuss important “traps” in Forex trading. These are traps you want to learn about for two reasons. First, you don’t want to fall for these market traps because you will lose. Second, by understanding these and being able to identify them in the market, you can learn to profit from them. on 'Forex Market Traps' http://www.fxstreet.com/webinars/sessions/session.aspx?id=ca10dc81-e634-4923-89b5-02453cb00a9a

I think it's important to make the point that it's up to the individual what their own trading plan rules are. The core methodology of looking for supply/demand imbalance areas using the Odds Enhancers is a sound and sensible one but how each person trades them is a matter for how they most comfortably operate. Some conservative swing traders will only trade with 3:1 or more of clear profit margin in line with the larger 'trend' and will then set & forget on limit orders. For shorter term trades though I've seen Sam take 1:1 RR trades with confirmation entries rather than limit orders (A confirmation entry is when price moves into a level and then a buy or sell stop is set ready to catch the price as it hopefully moves back in the desired direction). Some people will constantly play with their profit targets and trail stops or move to break even, others will just enter the trade, set the stop & profit targets and then either let it win or lose. Across all the dozens of recordings and newsletter posts Sam has touched on them all as being appropriate depending on the trading plan. I guess the point is you choose your plan and then you trade it faithfully and see how it fits after a sizeable lump of trades (30 at least). Record all the trades, review them for how well the plan was traded and then analyse the results. Make conclusions and remedy where appropriate and start again. I've heard Sam say he is the most boring trader in the World. He just does the same thing again and again. He's learned how he likes to trade and he just does it. Some trades are profitable and some are not - but he wins in the long run..... It all sounds so easy when you just say it like that.

Thanks for the link Saamy. It's a completely bizarre layout but there's some good stuff on there. The following link is a Microsoft Word Document with all the slides in it - just in case the blog disappears... http://www.mediafire.com/file/oqyqamuf5ex6t75/Sam%20Seiden%20Supply%20and%20Demand%20Slideshow.doc

While we're on the subject and in the hope that it might help others, this was my nicest example of a supply/demand trade today. You could see the possibility of the trade coming a mile off so I setup the orders and let it run its course. It was "only 45 pips" some might say, but I operate on account percentage and with a 15 pip risked for 1% capital that amounted to 3% gain. :) http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/n534/JimJamBonks/31-05-2011USDJPYShort.jpg Sorry, I'd have posted the charted directly for viewing in here but it was too big....

bullforever - The sas.elluminate.com webinar is a streamed recording presented through a java frontend. Unfortunately it's not as simple as moving a video file around.
-
chankl78 - They are automatically shortened links and they caught me out first time too. If you actually just click the link directly rather than cut & pasting then you'll find they work. :)
-
jbozman - the Probability Enhancers can be downloaded from the link below - courtesy of Hermanhess for the link. It's not a video but it outlines the desired price action location, structure and behaviours and the requisite scoring mechanism used in the XLT to achieve a valid trade setup. http://www.multiupload.com/PZ45W3QDRJ

teodosy87 - thank you Sir. And I'll try and get started on the 18000 posts of that Forexfactory thread too. ;)
-
That's very kind of you teodosy87 - and just the kind of spirit that elevates the best of this forum above some of the nonsense that has gone on recently. :)
-
teodosy87 - When I follow that link Sendspace says "Sorry, the file you requested is not available". Is that link working for you right now?
-
Excellent find Keifer - that's my next 1hr 13min filled. :o) teodosy87 - Thanks for the Berglib link. It looks to have lots of good stuff mentioned there - though I haven't actually been able to download anything that still has a live download link or a password on it yet. Is there anything of note you have found there?

From what I understand the XLT isn't so much a set of course materials but rather a trading room directed by OTA traders like Sam Seiden. Before joining the XLT, individuals have to complete their chosen OTA foundation courses in either stocks, futures, forex etc. After that XLT members sit in the room and see again and again how the "Pro's" use the Odds Enhancers (linked above) to find trade setups that meet their ruleset. There are 25 or so videos of Sam Seidens freely available on FXStreet.com and Forexpros.com. I've watched each and every video countless times and every time I pick some new nuance up. Certainly in the more recent videos Sam has been even more generous with giving out some of the XLT secrets. If you watch them enough time and take notes I feel you'll have the bulk of the method - but there's no shortcut, you've just gotta put the hours in or pay the money to OTA and even then you still have to put the hours in.

Trading Psychology Video Package presented by Dr. Andrew Menaker
JimJamBonks replied to rhv's topic in Forex Clips & Movies
Those videos weren't uploaded by a user here, the links above were to Andrew Menaker's (also known as PopDocTrader) own Screencast.com site. He normally charges $85 to get access to those videos but he's obviously been made aware that the links have been shared and he's taken them down.. As it happens though, I downloaded them. Unfortunately my downloader converted the original .flv files to .avi which has made them huge. First I need to convert them back to .flv then I'll post links here possibly later today/tomorrow. -

Thanks for the re-up wsurfer. Just a shame filserve.com requires a 10 min wait between downloads. That said, renewing my router IP address after every part allows you to get around the wait.. -

Here are the direct links avoiding multiupload. Better get there quick as they seem to dropping off many of the share site... Part 12 - http://www.zshare.net/download/7884018963c96aba/ Part 14 - http://www.zshare.net/download/78842450e2be8a09/ Part 17 - http://www.zshare.net/download/78864673527b7ae0/ Part 21 - http://hotfile.com/dl/58791777/82d3409/Best_of_wyckoff.part21.rar.html Like most webinars TradeGuider do - it's kinda clunky. But if you're interested in Wyckoff then it has some solid gold material in there - if you're prepared to put the hours in and watch through the fluff. :D
