No. I never update with advanced Get. Too troublesome as need to reload. I still prefer using Loopyno's 2 Indicators (EWO & EW monitor) to make decision. Faster.

Anyway, I will update my entry rules today.

the problem is that we dont have live feed. plus, from my understanding, i dont think c78 "updates" elliott wave(ew) before every trade. if we had live feed then murrey and ew would go really well together.

A live feed from MT4 to Advanced Get would definitely be very useful for intraday trades!!

when you say real time version: do you mean a version that consistently updates the data on the elliott wave? if so; from my understanding, the only solution is to buy the real version that c78 mentioned. what we have here is the actual software of aget 9.1 (latest is 9.2) that works the same but just need to update the elliott waves manually. so: the software is free and educated (its cost is around $4k). the data, if you want to purchase it, is $175/month thru esignal.

Yes, I'm looking for a version that will accept 'live' data feed from MT4 and consistently updates the elliott counts. I read somewhere that the data feed between MT4 and Advanced Get can be bridged through a software called Hyperserver. Hyperserver basically allows Advanced Get to receive 'live' data feed from providers beside Esignal.

So if there's a free version of Real-Time Advanced Get somewhere, we can make things real-time! :)) Anybody know where to get the 'Real-Time' version?

Elliot Wave is very famous and very controversial. I've read it somewhere (possibly on investopedia) that if you show 1 page printed chart to 10 elliot wave practitioner, you would find 8 different elliot wave drawing patterns from that same 1 page.

 

That doesn't mean that EW is bad. It just means that EW has large deviation in interpretation and people who want to really study this, needs to study it right.

 

I've tried to learn it once upon a time, but it is too confusing for me. I mean, I just lost in deciding which one is no.1, 3, or 4. So I give up and start learning something else.

 

What fork4k said about "matching your personality" is absolutely correct. And if I may add, when you select a trading system, don't select 1 that is confusing or complicated. It's hard enough to make money using easy to understand system, so don't make it harder.

The counting is simple. But when humans do it, they tend not to be 100% objective. Hence, the different results.

If we use software to count, thus eliminating the human "subjectiveness" factor, the results would be objective and clear for all to see, interpret and use. Currently, I'm using Advanced Get 9.1 to help me do the counting instead of doing it myself. Give it a try today!

guys i do not want to be negative or something but if you learn Elliott Wave you will understand why this software will never help you ... any of it ....

 

i am studying and applying Elliott Wave for more than 2 years ... i still make mistakes .... but i can tell you one thing ... it is not for the common trader

 

there are rules ... guidelines and they all need a human to interpret them

so if u trust these pieces of software, it means that they invented artificial intelligence and are selling it for pocket change.

for those of you who are new to elliott wave it is the only logic explanation i can give u

those of you who read books, watched/attended seminars and tried it out in real time i think there is no need to explain why i am saying all this

 

this is the only way i can contribute to this forum as money are not my strong point :)

I don't agree. It depends on HOW you use it. I'm using Advanced Get, couple with Multi timeframe analysis. Results? Not bad. :)

the set-up is as follows

1) 1 hour chart

2) when the GRBB turns thick green and the HMA indicates blue, i will buy

3) when the GRBB turns thick red n the HMA indicated red, i will sell

also i use a 6EMA- 6EMA is where i buy / sell to get a good price so that when it moves 30 pips - i will adjust my sl to 15 pips so that at least i still have profits in my pocket

Actually, I am using macbook. I just press shift-command-4, it will let me select which portion of the screen I want to capture, then I use GIMP to do draw circle or arrow, then I upload the picture to tinypic.
