Hi freddie,
i do not know with how many systems i worked, but the London Breakout is total easy.
Today i will take a look at 23 to 02 ;) It is for me not a problem, because i´m in Argentina (GMT -3).
@pardy
on one of my demo i try the EA from Steve Hopwood, so let me take a look how it works.
Thanks, could you provide the link - s hopwood has many ea's i think! also a similar ea is being designed on the 3 tier thread on ff as well.

Always pleased to hear of successes, Naranjablue. I have been thinking about an early BO for the Asian session. The bars always look particularly small from just before midnight to just after.
On another thread, Fast50pips... Someone is selling just such a system :Take four hours from 23.00 to 02.00 UK time and straddle. I will include that in my 'breaks to watch' in future.
No good to me here but maybe when I go to Malaysia
What we need is an EA where you can specifythe time and a breakout can be entered. Preferably one which allows more than one box to be created. Should be a simple ea to code - is there not one around that anybody knows of?
Would be rather handy.

Short Trade GU Opened at 1.57688
TP : 1.57188
SL : 1.57988
What box times are u using for this trade? thanks

Does anyone have experience with the SmHull MA?
does it repaint and if so, how many bars back?
The reason why I'm asking:
I've attached the SmHull to a renko chart and that's really looking too good to be true
Hi iwjw,
what size renko bars are u using?? thanks

Your 10-10.30 breakout seems rather good, Freddie. Worked on GU and EJ today. Thanks for sharing. In fact, these breakout trades of yours and Kraven seem to be overall quite positive, and you don't need to be stuck in front of your pc all day. Glad I found this thread!

Kraven,
What news items do you look to trade? I check withh ff, so it would be all the red ones - what about the mid impact orange ones and the low impact yellow ones?
freddie, ideal life-style, I think
Thanks.

Freddie to be honest were the only one's who use this thread so we should just post here. besides it's got a lot of info i've put on already about news trading.
next week a couple of tradable news items on Tues, Weds too but need to be carefull of BOE speaker, 1 on Thurs, Couple on Fri.
From experience you need to just concentrate on 1 method...i know it's hard with so many around. and only 1 or 2 pairs max.
Actually, just read this thread today - very interesting strategy on news candle. Watched gu work out very well, and also ej, tho' was 3 bars later, but also worked out well.
Am going to re-read all the posts here - please keep posting.
And thanks.

Good trade, fx4_ever.
This system does seem quite good on 15 mins. I've added the cc as well now. Will check it out tom, altho' with nfp, I might not trade.
See how the frankfurt session goes.

The original strategy says:
So i presume it is the same in this variation.
Chris
Hi, on the contrary if you look at superfx's charts on pg4 i think, you will find that they are not parallel, and can be triangular.

Superfx,
Many thanks for sharing what seems to be a good strategy. Just so others and I can be sure we are following your strategy correctly, could you please confirm if my understanding is correct:
1. We draw a channel from 1200 to 0800 LONDON time.
2. The channel is drawn by joining the two uppermost peaks with a trendline, and the two lowermost troughs with a trendline.
This will not give us parallel lines but slanting/sloping ones.
3. At 0800, we take the breakout of one of these lines provided the golden variety confirms, or when it confirms. Is the confirmation when all elements of the golden varity are in the same direction?
4. We do not look for two consecutive closes after breakout per the original strategy.
For those struggling with times (I do too), use the p4lclock indicator on your chart that displays broker time, your local time, and london time (amongst others). On the paramon, simply adjust the settings so london time is displayed on the current bar, and is in agreement with the p4lclock. You will know that you have the settings for london, then simply change the settings to get 1200-0600
Thanks superfx

I v10 is not the newest release but it is close. v10.3 is the most current release of Stealth but I am not sure if it is available here or one of the other boards or not. I pretty much stick to the rules 100% and the only change I made was to use a large mt4 brokers so I get a better picture of the true trading volume (MB Trading is my MT4 broker of choice for this). Other than that I stick to rules along with using some of the info found in the ultimate stealth forex guide that can be found on here. My days all vary depending on what I have to do that day but I try to trade both the Londond & US sessions and stop trading after about 3pm EST. If I know a day is going to be busy I may skip it all together and just use FDM on the 30m or 1H charts so my screen time is reduced.
detrader,
thanks for the explanation. Do you use trend bias from a higher tf? Or from the use of the pivots as per the system. If so, do you trade only trend/bias trades or will you also take "counter trend" trades. In other words if the pivot bias is long say, but the 1 hr trend is going short, would you trade short? Just asking you the last one to make sure, I know you've said you trade only by the rules.
Many thanks

pardy, are you referring to weekend? Because the scanner does not work over the weekend. (Like today).
hmmm, will check it out again tomorrow. Thanks.
-
Yes, the alerts would be very useful indeed. Having recently started just observing this, i would tend to agree that when 90% / 10% show up, it is very likely that price will continue to keep going in that direction for a while.
Also, the indices and commodities figures are very useful as well, e.g. when indices are strong, there will generally be a weakening of USD/JP; strong commodities will mean a good trade on AUSUSD or USDCAD etc.
On the alerts I'd say that they can happen more than once in a session. Whilst you do not want continuous alerts when a pair is at 90 or 10, once each time it reaches that level will be useful. You will find that it generally stays at green/red for a while, without going 89/90 continuously.
Thanks.

I would've thought it was unlikely to include updates for the bias and key numbers.
By the way, has anybody been able to get the scanner working on a consistent basis - mine worked for about 2 days or so, and the wouldn't update - just keeps saying loading!! Any help would be appreciated.

OOps, just saw that the super adx already has email alert built in - will try and activate that!!
I'm using it on 4 pip renko, quite interesting. Going to add it on afew charts and monitor emails next week.
Thanks to all the contributors

Impresive, loopyno. Is it your version thats been posted?? Wish there was alerts to go with it, preferably like email alerts, then u could have the charts split between 3-4 platforms, and just refer to chart when needed!!
Thanks
-
From what I've seen, the FDM system isn't bad, just also watch out for the adx readings. And as fx_4ever says, alo use the super adx. Funny thiung about the super adx is that it will not signal all moves, missing quite a few, yet it can be pretty reliable with its red bars, and reversal signals provided you use them in conjunction with your own confirming indis. Probably why the author has them on so many charts, coz when u do get a signal, confirm it with another of your fave indis, and u should do well.
-
Have just been monitoring this sys on GU today. It would have given 3 trades, all positive - you could esily have made 100 pips or more.
Think I'm going to put this on a few more charts.

Thanks for coming up signal description on the screen friend, but when i used it, i have two problems.. he he..
1) what does it mean, when i get a white bar with a purple tip? I think it do not appear in the description, please add that also friend.
2) When i press the "Reset button" in the edit option of the !superADX indicator, all the colors changes, some to orange etc.
I have to close MT4 and once again reload the template for getting the colors back before reseting.
Thanks and regards
Saivenkat
White bar with purple tip is a reversal signal ( with a 73% success rate historically), according to the author. Although this is the weaker signal.

Thanks fx4ever, that was very prompt indeed.

Hi fx4_ever,
The signals seem good, been testing on forward demo. However, the auto version seems not to be taking any trades, just gives the signal and sl/tp lines. Is yours working??
