hi friends sorry i was interesting bout your project n the editing on it

so here is my edition to reduce the risk for those who suffer the low equity

i combined a code to close all open orders in case you have a positive total profit n restart again fresh

i have test that in demo account n its much much better no need to swiss army or such even

you even try the default settings on GBPUSD 1M time frame and

here it is

test it n tell me but not on backtest try demo account for like 4 or 5 hours n you will knew

hey dont afraid of the alerts its just a sign that the close all function is working

 

 

 

For example i want to Ea that if total profit is 1000 usd close all positions and stop Ea. You say i added a function but i havent seen any input about that. How can i do that ?

I dont think there is someone who use dragonpips for at least 3-4 months in live account ...

Is there any problem while backtesting ? I do a backtest for 2010 and it only makes 6 orders !!

What is the pair and time frame ?

I couldnt do backtest i think there is an error or something missing in inputs but i couldn find ..

If you want to protect your Ea dont give it anybody, dont share...If you found a guy to let it run on his pc, ask him to give you 200 usd and open a new account and trade yourself. If your guy doesnt give you 200 usd tell me :)

It is not worse to use i think. I tested but not good results i think. May be it needs some optimizations in inputs..

If you can give some aditional information about inputs it may be more good Ea......

I use Use_Manual_GMTOffset = false, then the offset is calculated automatically, you can check it in the messages in the left above corner.

I was working with DP 2.02. There are some other versions circulating around - Final Version and Universal V4. Since 2.02 offers more options to select, I left it there. Don´t think,that trading is different with the other version, if yes, pls correct.

A major aspect I paid attention to was to slightly change the time protection levels, see this:

My observation is, that in the ranging Euro-pairs the price comes back nearly always, so there is no reason to shed an order with 4 pips loss after 240 minutes, as it is made with the default settings.

 

My next project is to test this EA on a ECN broker, because with some of them spreads especially in EURCHF, EURGBP and USDCHF are significantly lower than even with Alpari, and even though they might charge a commission (typically 4-5$/1.0 lot) this saves money, since 1pip more spread cost 2-3x as much as the commission, also there should be no price filtering and other measures, taken by brokers to inhibit scalping EAs.

 

 

 

Yes, that confirms my objections on using EURUSD (and even worse - GBPUSD) with DP. As told before I will test it this week on my live account in the period 21-23GMT, as I saw in the charts, that this is the only "non-volatile" period. In your test you have choosen 22-02, is this local/server time or GMT?

If this doesn´t work either, I will skip EURUSD and USDCHF.

I tested both eurusd and gbpusd for 2009 and 2010 and it is all failed. I will test eurgbp and eurchf ..

I tested 2009 for eurusd %90 model quality. That is result :)

Because in real world i couldn see any result like that :)
