    The code is clear, if you put 8-5, this EA will trade from 8AM to 5AM, period, you will need to put 8-17 if you want it trading only during the day.

     

    FYI, backtests show 24/5 is a better deal anyway, but personnaly I close mine friday at Noon, I don't like trades opened during the weekend and Monday gaps

     

    You missunderstood. I thought the code is clear, but there is two problems.

    On the manual they say that the default and recomended time is from 8AM to 5PM, I repeat, PM.

    Then they to leave it as default, BUT, the default is 8 as start and 5 as ending. There is no AM or PM field so I thought they misstook and they should have put 17 on the EA code default.

    So I backtested both with "trade end time" as 5 and as 17.

    The thing is, I got different results but in both it trades throughout the whole day, which is double strange.

    The guys at 4xproject noticed this and they're using its original "donchian scalper 2.1" with this and money management problem fixed.

     

    But has anyone noticed this bug with Broker Buster or is it just me?

    Godfather v2_ModA: I have been testing GF & modifying with a few extra features.

     

    ModA includes following:

    - VROC is now included in code, no separate indicator is needed.

    - Breakeven Stop

    - Trailing Stop

    - "Semi-support/resist stop" (Optional, in testing, seems to help if check long term hi - low breached with a minimum take profit level.

     

    The attached is my ea mod & optimised set file for interest. I have NOT started trading yet so do your own review & testing! Let me know if you find any errors.

    okay, here is the v0.996 "educated" version. The developer uses encrypted messages so it is slightly harder than normal to find where to educate. However, after disabled the time check, it keeps throw out divide 0 error. I managed trace down four variables that don't get populated properly after education. So I hard coded those values with the initialization values. But it seems those values are supposed to be dynamic.

     

    Anyway, I checked the educated v0.996 against the v0.997. The only thing that is not right is the currency strength section instead of showing all 8 pairs only the pair that the indi is attached is shown. All other parts are working as far as I can tell.

     

    I'm rather busy lately so I'm afraid that's all I can spend my time on it. If other programmers want to fully educate it, the 4 variables are

    gda_544[li_160], gda_536[li_160], gda_532[li_160] and gda_540[li_160].

     

     

    Final word, I'm sure you know that you must use v0.996 template to use this version.

    Regarding JadeFX and slippage, it definitely does happen. I typically run a demo platform side-by-side with my live platform in order to check fill quality. A few weeks ago prior to the upgrade, I had a Forex Shoker 1.1 USDCHF trade that executed on the demo platform, took 4 pip profit, and closed the trade. On the live platform it suffered 10 pips of slippage on entry, causing the trade not to hit T/P, eventually causing trade to hit S/L. Of course, I was away from the screen at the gym while this was going on. Grrr.... Anyhow, the most disturbing thing about the whole issue was that the record of the trade was erased from the journal in my MT4 terminal. Usually slippage is minimal, but I wanted to lay out what you could see in a bad case.

     

    The reason I opened up the GoMarkets account was in order to run side-by-side with JadeFX in order to evaluate their STP execution versus JadeFX ECN and how it impacts my overall cost of trading and profitability. Just started with them in January so nothing to report yet.

     

    And there is no minimum monthly volume for JadeFX, as they now charge a commission. Rollovers are bad though, if you are going to swing trade/trend follow and hold positions overnight or for a few days. They are not as bad as MB Trading, but they are not good, which was another reason to step back and try to evaluate which brokers is best to run my scalpers from a total cost perspective.
