the angle would change depenging on how far zoomed in you are to the chart..

having a Rise/Run indicator would be more useful

Leverage ratio isn't all that important..

% risk per trade IS important.

If you are risking only 2-5% per trade, it doesn't matter if you have 10:1 or 400:1 leverage at ur broker. That will only change how much money you have tied up in a trade.

Right Click on chart..goto properties and click Common then click Show Ask Line.

that's just the way it goes..sometimes hit by .00002 pips sometimes missed by that

has anybody tried Forward testing an indicator that repaints?

it's horrific...you scroll backwards and it appears to be fantastic results but then test it live and realize that the S/R lines get drawn, you enter a trade then they are moved and WHOOOPS, shouldn't have entered.

I will check it out and if it is pretty accurate and worth creating/testing for an EA..I'll do it for you.

I'll have to see how long it will take me.

I am newbie and just starting off. What I'm bit confused about is about leverage.

 

My micro a/c is worth US$ 250. On any given trade, I'd be risking 4% of my a/c (= $10).

 

How can I implement or take advantage of 1:5 or 1:10 or 1:100 leverage without affecting the overall risk of 4% on any given trade?

let's say you had a 10 pip STop loss, so you are trading a $1/pip.

$1/pip is a $10,000 trade on USD pairs

if you leveraged at 40:1 you could trade $10,000 with $250.

but you don't want 100% of your balance tied up in a trade and your broker won't let you..

so go with 100:1 leverage and just keep using your risk % based upon SL and account balance.

Not Always..but quite often there is a breakout between 8-10pm EST on Eur/JPY and GBP/JPY.

Sometimes big, sometimes small..

Just grab some easy pips on the breakout and then wait for more active times
