I think this applies mostly to scalpers, but sometimes, important news can turn a peaceful scalping GMT night into a trendy horrible nightmare for a scalper.

 

I've heard a lot about that, and I also know that I can see the upcoming news on forex factory, but:

1 When do the news affect the robots? Is the robot starting to trade 1 hour after the news safe, or is it 5 hours safe?

2 Sometimes you see a fomc meeting or obama speaking. Do they only affect USD pairs?

3 And does a fomc meeting at 5pm affect a robot that trades from 9pm to 11pm?

4 And what kind of robots are usually affected by news, is it only scalpers? Martingales also?

5 And is it only the high impact news dangerous?

 

Can someone please answer this questions for me?

1. Any news can affect the performance of a robot..news that deviates far from the expected causes fast movements.

2. No, it doesn't. Can affect Eur pairs and possibly others(never looked)

3. the normal sentiment should be back into effect by then.

4. ANY robot can be affected...news can send price in either direction.

5. High impact is most dangerous but lower ones with high deviation can screw up your robot trade

so for finding an entry point basically he uses a major support or resistance. guess part comes when he changes his S/r to come closer to the price ie shorten the range. My best advice to people would be to on m15 when you see a candle breaching a major S/R then at the end of candle start this progression. that will take out lot of guessing. regarding video it takes sometime 1 hour and sometimes many to complete the overall session. I can post examples which you can already see on his blog and try to explain.

major S/R meaning 4hr and higher?

is he trading the bounce off of these or the break through these?

I came in late to the party but why not ask him to use Jing or snagit you can do a 5 min capture video . This would answer a whole lot of these questions.

I think his current system has some subjectiveness to where to enter. Once you define an entry point after that its all mechanical.

There has to be a way to describe how he finds the entry point...can't be intuition, has to be some kind of reasoning

I don´t know if he explains to them what he is doing and why he is doing it.

so anybody who spent the $$ for a manual got screwed...

if you learn the system in the room it may be worth it, but i wonder if the info is even explained in decent english

let us know if it works on a LIVE account..quite often EA work on demos but blow up on live accounts.

guy seems a bit nutty though...mixes alot of 'end of the world' and other junk in his oil site.

also, he's had this code since 2006, wouldn't he be filthy rich by now?

instead of spending a ton of time marketing and trying to sell a system for a few hundred bucks in 2010..
