  1. The site is up and running on my end. If you choose "Forex" you will get FXCM stream that is pretty much unlimited. If you choose "Futures" you'll get NinjaTrader's brokerage streaming data for only 2 wks and for only one demo trial per user's IP. This information was provided to me by someone from NinjaTrader's brokerage.
  2. It may have been due to some upgrades, at least based on the fact that before the "breakdown" event II was down for an hour daily, I guess for backup, (on my GMT-7 time zone it was between 11:00 pm till midnight) but since it came back on, II has been up and operational during this hour.:)
  3. I think some people are asking too much from the educators in this forum. Don't forget they are the ones spending all the time and effort and it is all for free. So market replay doesn't work.....too bad. Be thankful that somebody took the time and effort to educate the indicators for free and they are working well in live market conditions, which is where we need them to work. If it were the other way around and the indis only worked in market replay, but not in the live market; then we wouldn't really be able to profit from them would we? Thanks for the great job to all the educators in this forum.

Thanks a lot ingrate sh!t for brains.

This sounds like coming straight from the mouth of the opinion police. The fact that several guys here expressed a wish to fix the replay does not in any shape and form belittling the respect and gratitude these folks feel towards the educators. There is no argument what the priorities should be, but it is not up to the police but rather for the educators to decide what they can and want to spend their precious time on. Asking here someone to do something does not force anyone to do it. A more civilized, tolerant and mutually respectful exchange of ideas and information, rather than use of an angry tone, should serve us all better to reach our goals.

  4. Yes because the file shared was the first attempt of education...

I guess you refer to the "[email protected]@.X86.dll" from ‎11/‎22/‎2013, ‏‎6:37:46 PM; 1,205,760 bytes. I use it because of admis recommendations (for example in post #365 of this thread, and prior to that). Indeed, it works well for me with the OFA/MOA, OFA/EXA, OFA/SRA and the OFA/VCA indis, but the replay does not work with it. Another EDU "NinjaTrader.OFA.dll", per admis remarks, may work well with the replay but may not work with the indis. Leledc, or admis, would you please fix this problem?

    Happy holidays

  5. Agree with elishar and trader1968. I too have the same replay problem with the EDU version of the "[email protected]@.X86.dll" (the one from ‎11/‎22/‎2013, ‏‎6:37:46 PM; 1,205,760 bytes). Just to confirm that this file is the responsible for the problem, I temporarily replaced it with the similar dll from the "NinjaTrader.OFA_FREE_v1.8.0.2.zip" file (from 9/26/‎2013, ‏‎10:54:08 PM; 1,195,008 bytes) which I have downloaded from the OF@ web site. With the free dll the replay worked well for me and the ticks were captured. Unfortunately the free dll is a watered down version compared to the EDU version and would not work with the other OF@ indis/add-ons.

I'm pretty much convinced that one of the talented educators here can compare the 2 dlls and make the necessary corrections in the EDU version to allow it to drive a proper replay.

  6. here it is- its a cs so u have to compile it but its version V6a

enjoy and have fun. read my previous posts regarding this indicator before you use it in real time.

    good trading

Traderbeauty, the V6a compiled well and it does not give me any error messages, but I do not see almost any dot on the chart, and no clusters. Compared to what V5a generates - it is generating probably just 0-0.5% of the information that V5a generates. Is it possible that the lack of its dll file cause this problem? Do I need to reference it to something despite the fact that it does not call for anything during the compilation? I tried it on minutes, renko and tick charts and all behave the same. Thanks, Ron

  7. If you try to renew an expired demo account on an MT4 platform of a build prior to 409, you will not be able to do so, as the platform will not generate the usual "Login" and "Password" for you. I talked to a broker who told me that the Metaquote people gently push all of us to upgrade to build 409 from reasons unknown. This is an across the board issue for all the brokers around the planet. Of course, you would not be able to automatically upgrade to 409 without first renewing your demo account, and if the brokers do not carry build 409 on their MT4 demo download link, or you do not wish to overwrite all the charts you had so painfully prepared on your expired build 406 platform, you would get caught out on a limb.

I searched the net for a solution, and fortunately found it on another forum, as quote in the following segment:

If your broker does not offer an update to Metatrader 4 build 409 there is still a way to manually update your platform via simple copy/paste.

    •Download the attachment below

•Go to your Metatrader 4 root directory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Metatrader4 in Windows 7 or C:\Program Files\Metatrader4 in WIndows XP)

    •Backup the original terminal.exe file.

•Replace the old terminal.exe file with the one you just downloaded from this post

    •Run Metatrader 4 and that's it!

Here is the link to the terminal.exe build 409 file:

    http://mir.cr/0XPFFBTM

    Thanks Marko!!!

Be also aware that if after the registration is completed you would like to go back to build 406, just replace the terminal.exe build 409 with the backed up build 406, and you will demote your platform back to 406.

The procedure described here worked for me on platforms from the following brokers: IBFX, Alpari UK, Go Trader, FxOpen and Broco.

  8. Richo: Or using instead available bridge to Dukascopy, which also charges commission and may not requote.

Raul: from the tenor of your posts it appears that you do not listen much to the warnings and that you continue to pursue the quest to find the best combination of brokers. I like your attitude! Would you please PM me the EAs you are currently working with? I would like to check myself if there is a way to conceal the activity from the brokers. Thanks.

  9. OK guys, I think I solved all the problems. At the bottom of it all rests the fact that TG is communicating with their home server ALL THE TIME!

All my troubles with the installation were caused by ZoneAlarm. I actually did not uninstall it but rather stopped it. Apparently it still blocked communication of the setup file to TG server. Only after complete removal of ZoneAlarm from my machine I was able to reinstall TG. Next, I actually was able to get symbols from Esignal, but as long as I was blocking outbound and inbound traffic to the TG server, the only thing I could see on the charts was JUST THE CURRENT BARS and the Volume and VSA Scans were inactive. It all changed to normal appearance and function when I enabled once again traffic to TG server.

In the process of investigating the problem I found a little nicer solution than unplugging the internet for a second: Windows firewall of Win7 has the option to create Inbound/Outbound rules for a program. So I prepared a rule to block outbound traffic for TG. When I start the program and the connecting screen is hanging, I just enable this rule momentarily. When TG continues to open the program I disable the rule and by the time that my charts start to communicate with Esignal and with TG server again, nothing is blocking the traffic and everything behaves normally.

  10. Hi LAC_STS and kyrus,

Thanks a lot for your great advice. I did follow the advices here, but it did not work for me as it did for you.

First, I installed Zone Alarm and blocked outbound and inbound traffic for TG. This allowed me to pass passed the point where TG stopped before (trying unsuccessfully to communicate). So after TG started successfully, I tried to add a symbol. I then got a message that TG could not communicated with the Data Server, though clearly this was not the case, as TG had successfully initiated Esignal Data Manager. Whatever I did, I could not add a symbol from Esignal. Instead of trying to solve this problem, I fell for the recommendations to reinstall TG, and this was a big mistake. Though I did uninstall TG with the advance scan mode of Revo Uninstaller Pro, I just could not run anymore the TGRTSetupV4.exe, as it just got hanged on me in the middle.

I then checked the installation.log file and found that the last operation on which the installation got stuck was the following:

    “2011-05-09 00:39:38 Downloading C:\Program Files (x86)\Trade Guider RT V4\_Temp\dbcapi.dll from http://www.brick.cx/Software/TradeGuiderRTV4/dbcapi.dll with size of 458821 bytes..”

I guess that since TGRTSetupV4.exe is a small file of 570KB, it is basically communicating with TG server and downloading most of the program from there. It is also my guess that my IP address was blacklisted on the TG server (and this is why TG stopped working on my computer one day). If you are wondering, I did uninstall ZoneAlarm before the installation, so it did not block communication with the TG server during setup.

To cut a long story short, I would like to test this hypothesis by trying to run the installation behind an IP address mask. Do any of you know how to do it?

  11. Hi LAC_STS,

I installed TG RT V4 a week ago on Windows 7 64 bit with esignal data feed. It worked great for 5 days continuously, then stopped. When I exited it and restarted it, it did not proceed passed the "please wait while connecting" message windows. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, including the patch, but it is still behaving the same. All the other programs I have on this computer are using esignal data without a problem. Any idea why? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Ron

  12. I'm still testing Derivative Pro. The stats are not stellar but firm. Expectancy (expected payoff) is $24, ROI=50% and R multiples=11.5. The forward test is already lasting 382 days and I have not optimized the EA ever (I use default values). Given some turmoil in the world and in the currency markets during the last year, I think it is safe to ***ume that it would continue to perform well in the future. I wonder if optimization with tick data (99% modeling quality) would improve performance. One of these days, when I'll have time, I'll try to optimize it and walk it forward over 1 year, to do it properly. If the performance would indeed improve, I'll start to trade it live.

    Cheers, Ron

  13. I purchased it on 1/28/11. For the entire first week their server was down for me. Requests to get support directly and through Clickbank were not answered. One day authorization mysteriously just kicked in. Since then I'm forward testing it, and the results are not impressive, to say the least. Last week the server was again down for me for about 3 days. Megabot support did not answer my email. I am testing it, as was recommended in their manual, on the ImFX platform, using the default parameters.

As you can see from the chart attached, there was a big drawdown right at the start. For the rest of the month the EA just tries to recover.

I will test it for an additional month. Will keep you posted.

  14. Yes, by it i was referring to the account, but your thought may be right. it has been promoted so heavily it will surely be shared.

There might be a twist here, according to a message I have just received from Rob Casey (from FapTurbo Expert Guide Members):

The REAL PROBLEM was this ...

As I explained in my previous email, the reason Leo Trader Pro is

able to do what it can do, AND keep doing it after you buy it is

because the software is continuously being optimized each and every

    day.

This optimization happens on their server where the brains of Leo

Trader reside. Because this happens on their server their neural

net algorithms are able to actually make use of a much wider range

of market information in determining what direction the markets are

going. Things like gold prices and other economic indicators.

If this information is true, this EA would come with a dll that would interact with the author's server to get the alleged Neural Net guided signals. If indeed this would be the case, we may not be able to test properly the results on a shared version.....

  15. I forward tested the up sale version of this EA for a month and as expected it has underperformed, ending with a negative balance (see the figure bellow). Of course I returned everything for a full refund (thanks for clickbank). If anyone is interested in forward testing it for a longer duration, here is the up sale version, and the additional bonuses.

    http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/682/forwardtestfor1month.jpg

    Code:

To give the benefit of the doubt to the promoter, occasionally EAs stumble for a period of time (see my entries at the Forex Derivative Pro topic in this forum). This is why it should be fair to extend the forward test for another 3-4 month before we give up on this EA for good.

The sales pitch for this EA was very unusual, so I felt that maybe this was a different product, for a change. I suspect though that once again we see the same old crap being thrown at us relentlessly.

  17. I continue to forward test FD-Pro. Since about October 8 (max equity was 16955) it got into what I still consider as a "corrective mode", since a trendline at the bottom of the equity curve is still pointing up (but we have to see if this trendline would not get broken in the next several weeks). The current equity is 13892, but the Stats are still OK (76% winners; PF 1.3; Expectancy 31, R multiple 9 and relative DD 7.8%). There were only 18 trades since then. FX Derivative behaved like this before and recovered well, so I wonder if it will do it again.

  18. On 5-2-2010 (see above) I reported that Forex Derivative Pro has poor performance. Well, I did continue to follow it closely. Now, after 200 calendar days of forward testing on an Alpari UK platform, I completely change my mind, based on the performance I see for now. Unlike other EAs that I test closely, which do perform well only following frequent optimizations, the PRO has never been optimized, and has still performed well. I have been using the original default settings on EURUSD 5M, GBPUSD 5M and AUDUSD 5M. Of course, these results still might be a fluke, just coincidental to the combination of the way the demo platform worked for me during this period of time, but such a performance, without optimization, for 200 calendar days, for sure raises my interest to continue follow it up for at least a full year. Please review the 3 images below:

    http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/2061/equitycurve1010.jpg

    http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/3133/stats1010.jpg

  19. I have just received the weekly email from 4xproject.com. They trade FX Cruise Control live. It is ranked the highest on their ranking list, which is based on the projected yearly profits. FX Cruise Control, according to their results, would generate 424% annual profits. Compare that to FapTurbo's 23% and Megadroid's 19%. So if their information is valid, this should be a profitable EA, pending the test of time and of the ever changing market dynamics.
  20. I agree that Forex Derivative Pro is probably not worth the effort of education. Here is a forward test for 1.5 months. The results speak for themselves. This image can be downloaded from:
    http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/JHNQSUAJ/Forex_Derivative_Pro_-_results_0.jpg_links

The Pro often starts good trades but does not know how to manage them, so potentially good trades with a significant Maximum Favorable Excursion are ending up at a loss. Also, back testing and optimization were capricious at best, or impossible.
