Here is the system that I have put together ... "Dynamic Fx"

I have not included the MTF indicator on the bottom as it doesn`t need it
and also have not included the red and blue arrows_sup/res indicator as it repaints and shows up after the fact
there are plenty of good sup/res indicators on this forum ... just search

Ok - here's the indicator source with a document which explains how I've done the calculations:

    http://www.multiupload.com/QVRCBM6JXZ

Note that the latest version of the indicator is in post 66 (don't use this indi. for live trading - it's still being developed).

When you start to compare the indicator settings between the II indicator and the original and then look at the actual indicators (all indicators are standard MT4 ones) you'll see some strange things.

For example, I take signals from MA's in a very simple way - I just look at the last close price and see if it's above or below the MA. If above then we have a long bias and flag is set to 1, if below then we have a short bias and flag is set to -1.

I'm not sure how they're measuring the MAs, though some of their values make no sense to me. Sometimes MAs are shown as 0 values - which must mean that under certain conditions (e.g. candle crosses the MA?) that the flag is undetermined, however sometimes price has been clearly going down along with the MA and their MA flag setting is showing 1 for bullish bias! All very odd and this is what I'm looking for help with.

Until we're happy with our individual indicator settings then we can't move on to determine a decent master probability. Note that because the original system seems to be quite buggy, it may be that some of their indicator settings are just plain wrong.

So, it's worth bearing in mind that what we have now, may be better than their system lol - to check this you'll need to compare master probability signals from each and see which would give the best entries.

I think most of the code bugs should be ironed out now, though coders feel free to fix any other bugs you see and repost the fixed version.

When looking at the original indicator if you change the font to "Arial" rather than "Ariel" and sfont_size to 8 then the indicator flags should be slightly easier to read.

I've just noticed that indicators are changing in the original with new ticks rather than just at closed candles. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not - and something else to test.

Trade locator is working for me. check you have it installed correctly.
place file 'TradeLocator' into c:\Program Files\MetaTrader\experts
in MT4 Expert Advisors - drag tradelocator onto chart.
In tradelocator common tab - tick allow live trading and allow DLL imports
You'll see 'TradeLocator :)' in top right of chart if its loaded correctly.
In the trade locator inputs tab it lists Stochastic (8,3,5) and MACD as being used with it.
The stochastics is standard on MT4 and there is a modified MACD 2Lin which came with the download.
As far as I can tell it draws lines connecting the highs and lows and shows divergence on the MACD and stoch. Won't be using this myself... divergence is too subjective to be useful I find. Can add to your trade confirmation but reading the price action will get you there sooner.

I have already post that indicator there.

It is basically Sam Seiden's method created by other people. (Sam Seiden never uses indicator. He draw it himself)
In the indicator, I set the parameter ForcedTF = 60. Cos I prefer to have lesser trading time.

Today I share with my Indo friends my proprietary Trend Pullback System. I have been working on it for a long time and think it's pretty special. It is a range bar system and has the uncanny ability to often identify the exact bottom bar in a countertrend pullback and enter on the open of the next bar! From an entry standpoint, it doesn't get much better...

Here are some recent charts. The arrows are mechanically placed by the system and not repaint:

I am happy to share with you all. I have a top level coder who I will be paying to potentially create an EA starting
Thursday. I hope that you all will take a close look at this system and suggest improvements. Particularly I am interested in things like Trade Management and filtering of bad signals. Any ideas appreciated. Now is the time to do it, before the EA specialist begins. Oh, by the way, if it works out OK, I will be sharing the EA to all the folks here with my compliments so let's make this the best system ever !

5 Years I have been at it. I have seen almost every system, method out there and prob some that won't even be found in the forums. Have literally read over 100 plus books on trading, systems, methods, money management .... the mental game etc etc. Point being I have paid my dues and then some like all others who end up as a profitable real trader.

In that 5 years yes I have learned how to read price action, how the market works, flows and ebbs and how real traders trade, what they look for, what they are looking at. I have learned how to actually trade. In that time I have learned some good methods to trade but I have also came up with my own. Let's be honest as a new trader just trading off of price action will not work. The knowledge base is not there. However following a set of rules that will govern your trading will work. JUST FOLLOW THE RULES!!!

Here is a method that WORKS and it is EASY to see the signals and NO re painting. If you follow the rules it works and will prob be one of the easiest most profitable methods you will find .... that I can guarantee!!!

Now if I can just figure out how to post images.

suica reacted to soundfx in 5 years of work - no repaint, high quality signals easy
    Guys,

Each trade should be taken on its own merit and you need to think of drawdown in the same terms too.

Potential drawdown on a single trade depends on how much you've staked and the size of your stop.

Because waterskiguy's system is longer term trend following all your trades will naturally already have an edge - hence keep on trading the system with a sensible 2.5% of account stake consistently and your account should grow.

Here are some tips to improve on trade selection to ensure that you pick only the best trades and can see some consistent account growth:

    1. You see a down trend on weekly and daily and an arrow pointing down on the 4H candle which has just closed - do you jump straight into the trade short with a market order? If so, then you've already reduced the odds of your trade succeeding. You may even think that short term RSI isn't too important if it doesn't line up and just home in on the arrow because it's made a noise and grabbed your attention - this too is a fatal move. So...firstly ensure that you follow all rules to the letter every time you trade.

    2. You see a trend down as in 1. and decide to correctly place a sell stop just below the low of the 4H candle, however when you calculate your swing high you realise it's 300 pips away. Then you look at what's happened to price recently over the 4H, Daily and Weekly charts - has price always stopped at a support level ? How far away is that support level ? If a previous support level has held and is only 100 pips away, then you're best off ignoring this trade and looking for a better one, for the simple reason that the reward of 100 pips isn't worth risking 300 pips to get it.

    3. You see a down trend as in 1. again, however you've missed the next 4H candle after the one with the arrow on and that next candle went down but zoomed back up to close with a stonking great spike on the bottom. Enter short here with a market order (which you shouldn't be doing anyway!) and you're asking for trouble.

    4. Draw some trendlines on the charts in all timeframes - ask yourself if your trade makes good sense. Are you looking to go long at the top of a well established weekly channel ? If so, then again you're likely to come unstuck as price bounces off the top of that channel yet again and eventually blows through your stop.

As for EA's, the majority of EAs fail because you can't code mechanical exits that work anywhere near as well as manual trader's exits. Manual traders have a feel for market flow, they can see differences in speed of candle formation and can minimise losses. The typical EA has a simple stop of x pips which guarantees that it will kill an account when market conditions change. More sophisticated EA's can get around this problem a bit by using a % of ADR as the stop, but the stop is still nowhere near as manual trader's stop. Good manual scalp traders can get out of a lot of potentially losing trades by just seeing price "stalling" etc. and getting out quick for breakeven. Some EA's are able to place stops at swing highs and lows as required by this system, but then they fail because they can never get the right risk/reward.

This system is different to most in that the entry and exit rules are clear-cut. We're placing orders with stop at swing/high low and have a target which is at least as big as the stop or preferably bigger. The bigger targets will come from some chart analysis of S/R levels in different timeframes which is is possible to code into an EA, though not easy. So why not create an EA ?

    1. The analysis of "trend" is easy to define with the human eye when the rest of a chart is taken into context (something we do naturally). This is where the EA would come unstuck. Also in the additional checks which we may sometimes manually make on S/R levels, trendlines etc. will be very hard to code.

    2. What is the point of creating an EA in the first place? Most folks want an EA because they're not full-time traders and can't be at a screen all day and some are just lazy and want to turn on a machine which earns them money for doing nothing every day lol. This system requires a maximum of 1 hour analysis each day, if you prefer you could just check the charts once a day for 20-30 mins at a time convenient to you. If you trade this system correctly you won't need to look for the latest marketing scams "Earn $$$$'s per week for 1 hour's work a day" because you already have the capability to do just that (or will do very soon :) ).

Running since 14/11/2010 on 5k Demo / current version 1.7c

    General Recommendations:
    - Demo Test at least 4 weeks (longer is better)
    - Don't rely only on the provided Setfiles. The results will vary from Broker to Broker. Is it due to spreads, range or whatever...
    - Lower Spreads will as usual drive for a quicker basket closing but must not be an advantage towards the overall strategy. I have the EA running on Alpari and FXCM where Alpari is driving for a higher DD since trades are placed differently due to a different closing/opening... FXCM certainly does have higher spreads... Again, you need to find a setting for your Broker!
    - Understand the strategy and the settings/effects applied!!! (Check setting triggers/details in the mq4 file while opening in the editor)
    - Always use the News Filter standalone or in combination with other Filters!!!
    - Account Limits: 10k for 0.1Lot; 1k for 0.01Lot => Leverage as high as possible e.g. 1:400/500 / On a Leverage of 1:200 halfen the Lotsize or double the account
    - Don't trade month end/first. (can be set in the EA)
    - Don't trade ADP/NFP and Monday after NFP (can be set in the EA)
    - Use a SL per trade, consolidated StopOut or Stop trailing
    - Use Single Basket while getting started
    - Set your GMTOffset correctly
    - Newbies might reconsider using till the we have got more experience and set to confidence!
