  1. I would think that if you have a cracked version you can use esignal, IB or whatever, but you will not be able to get any data or updates through ensign software. So currently, if you use a paid version, you get everything including the free forex data feed from dbFX and FXCM. If you use the cracked version, I suspect that you will not be able to get any data from FXCM or dbFX.
  2. I think sillykiddo pretty much summed it up. Here is a comment which I found posted on another forum describing the method...

"From what I gather it is a scalping system with 10 pip SL.

Like all of them that are presenting a 'special' view of trading he has introduce a little mystery into the system.

He has 'road bumps' that price has to pass or not.

He uses 10 min charts b/c 5 min is too fast and gives whipsaws whereas 15 min misses too many trades.

Minute 4 is a mystic number and is I believe the trade trigger

He uses 'special' numbers, they seem to be 00 and 50 from what I can see."

Hope this gives a little more insight into the method.

  3. Interesting post Dino. Firstly, I have not been on the course or know Benny T in any way. From the testimonials, it would appear that Benny is a special person. If you look at the testimonials, his previous students comment more about the level of support and coaching that they receive from Benny than the method itself. I believe this is really the key to success in trading....and since it would appear that most educators out there do a poor job of coaching/supporting the students, then this is what sets him apart from the rest. On some of the occasions, it appears that he actually calls trades so his students can follow along with him and experience some of the results while learning his method. If he were an inconsistent, losing trader or someone who points out trades after the fact, I am sure that some of his testimonials would be sure to reflect this fact. So far, I have not seen any. One of the other points I noticed is that they stress consistency. I think we can all agree that this is extremely important aspect and also one of the most difficult to achieve in trading. I suspect many of us have had the experience of growing an account (demo or real) only to give back the profits and more a few trades later. Another point that I noticed is that once some of his students become consistent, he will provide some funds for them to trade or pass on some of his clients....in effect, providing his students an opportunity to increase their income and experience being a "fund" manager. This also sets him apart from the other educators/trainers out there. I have not heard of anyone else who does this type of set-up....afterall, if you had clients that let you trade money for them and you made extra income from it, why would you give up this client/income to someone else? This type of behaviour seems the opposite of what a greedy person would do.

In regards to the price of his course, $7500 does seem like alot of money to pay for training but considering what he offers in the way of support and possible opportunities after your training, it may appear to some people to be reasonable. Afterall, there are lots of courses, indicators, strategies out there that people are selling for hundreds even thousands of dollars, yet people keep buying them. I guess this is where each person has to make their own decision.

Again, please let me repeat, I have not attended his course or even know Benny T. personally, so I am not here to promote this person and I have nothing to gain financially or otherwise. It just appears to me that this guy is doing something unique out there and his students are very loyal to him.

Just thought I would share my opinion.

  4. Re: Successful Manual System Anyone?

    Hey MartyGale,

Have you ever tried to develop your own system? It sounds as if you have tried several systems which were misrepresented, did not fit with your trading style, or just plain and simple crap. Do you actually know what you are looking for in your trading system? What time frame do you like to trade? How many trades per day? week? month? Please understand, I am attempting to help you narrow down what it is that you are wanting in your trading system. By asking yourself a few questions first, you may find it easier to find or develop a system that is more suited to your personality.

As an aside, there are some systems or approaches mentioned on this great forum in the trading strategies section....Asafx, some of the strategies in the Surefire Trading 09, Joel Resnik strategies as mentioned above. Also, check out some of the other well known forums to see what systems are being discussed....but as always, do your own due diligence.

Good luck in your search :-)

  5. Re: Should I go for a live account?

I would suggest starting with a small amount (between 50-100 USD) and trading in micro lots. Trading with real funds often displays different results for traders when compared to trading a demo account. Closely monitor risk management and position size....as this is often the area that most traders neglect.

  6. Re: 1H Strategy

    Hey TopDog,

I think what William is saying is that this strategy has been around for some time now and was originally posted on the web as the "Dolly Trading System" ...so it is questionable whether ronnimar is the original author. If you do a search at some of the other forums for "Dolly" you will likely find it.

    Good luck in your trading.
