  1. Re: GBP / USD

    GU has not finished its rally yet and neither has the EU

    be careful shorting either of these yet, look at the $index,and the commodities....oh lets not forget the Dax and S&P500

    its all there if you look at the whole picture

  2. Re: Would it be good if there is independent information for EA

    one way you can deal with this problem is to use a copy software, I see people saying that so and so EA will work on demo but not on a real account and thats just bullshit.

    take the same EA and run it from a demo account with MT4 copy software and it works just fine, broker never knows how or what you are doing and the lag is only 1 sec or so..problem solved

  3. Re: who is the owner of the holy grail? hameed852.mt4live.com

    what you need is an EA that lets you control the risk by adjusting the min trade range lot size SL based on the ADR of the pair traded and will close out trades at a given profit target and reset itself. Then YOU control all the risks and it cannot run away on you, small steady consistant profits.

    I have more results on the server where it runs right now, will get them tomorrow and post them here

    I dont call this dribble but a pretty good explaination of the basic premise the EA is based on

  4. Re: who is the owner of the holy grail? hameed852.mt4live.com

    Do you mean ADR=Average Day Range? Could you please tell us a little bit detail about it, related to your strategy?

    Thanks.

    as the pair moves up and down within the ADR the EA must move with it, thats where the EA is different than others, it will follow the pair as it moves resetting itself.

    Look at the stats, they speak for themselves.

    Hey Phoenix.. Are you planning on posting the EA here or what.. IF your planning on keeping the EA private then why even mention it.. Several poeple have asked you about it and all we get is a little dribble..

    sorry but I do not have time to be here everyday and if you call it dribble so be it. I think it has been explained pretty well.

    it will be hosted on a VPS the first part of august. No I will not sell it so it becomes public nor will I post it, no it is not fapturbo, have never looked at that TBH.

    no public EA ever last long, we all know that.

    Maybe I came to the wrong place but I was told people here wanted Ea's that gave steady consistent pips and this does just that.

    I am offering a private EA to those that wish to take advantage of it, simple I think.

    I have lots to share for free but this EA cant be one of them, I will not see my work plastered all over the net.

    if you want to talk more send me a PM or email

  6. Re: You may hate me for telling you this

    Hey people,

    I have some basic advice, for anyone who is relatively new to forex.

    Make sure that you forward test any EA that you plan on taking live.

    Be sure to test it on a DEMO account first.

    This is a common mistake many new traders make!

    :-)

    forward tests or backtests prove nothing for many EA's.

    test it on a demo account is the only way to know. Most EA's do not give you control over the Risk you need to be profitable, they look to max out pips from overleveraged accounts to "look" good.

    There are good EA's out there but not in the public hands

  7. Re: FXPP Auto Trader v2 for 5000$

    backtests are not an indication of success for any EA and even if you had clean tick data I still do not look at BT's

    why not stick it on demo and really test it there, setttings can be tweaked and tuned but dont look to backtests as reliable at all

    MY HO

    i am sure the EC results will fall off to about 76% as well over time with a 7/2 win loss ratio, all pairs tested have settled into that range so far depending on settings but I only use conservative settings not looking to get rich only make consistant pips.

    thats where most fail, they look to maximise pips not limit risk first

  11. Re: Scalping...is this a waste of time or can you....

    to scalp you must master tyour system and know when you click that your odds are in your favor

    this can be accomplished best by trading the M S/R points and price action.Throw on your favorite SMA for trend and it really is not hard........................problem is most people have no patience to wait for the trade, they trade to be trading

  13. Re: Successful Trading Strategies of full time traders

    set them to NY close 5pmEST and you will find price respects them quite well.

    one could trade just pivots and still make some good pips on the pairs with a spread of 4 or less.

    I know an older gentleman that trades nothing but the R3 and S3 PP's as they are Major S/ points and he does very well, not many losers either. He sets alarms after 5pm and when they go off he comes and looks and if rsi and price action tell him all loks good he trades them back to R2 S2 for an average 20 pips per trade.

    simple yet effective

  14. Re: Successful Trading Strategies of full time traders

    if you are trading forex the fibo pivots work far better then standard pivots

    The difference between the traditional Standard Pivots and "FiboPivots" is that the S1, S2, S3, R1, R2, R3 levels with Fibopivots are calculated as offsets from the Pivot line by multiplying the prior day trading range ("R") by Fibonacci numbers. The base Pivot line for both methods is calculated the same. I find that price seems to respect Fibopivot lines in Forex (especially the Yen pairs) moreso than the Standard Pivots. Stock prices seem to more closely respect Standard Pivots. The differences between the two methods can be seen in the following code that calculates both:

    double R = yesterday_high - yesterday_low;//range

    FiboPivot_P = (yesterday_high + yesterday_low + yesterday_close)/3;// Standard Pivot

    FiboPivot_R3 = FiboPivot_P + (R * 1.000);

    FiboPivot_R2 = FiboPivot_P + (R * 0.618);

    FiboPivot_R1 = FiboPivot_P + (R * 0.382);

    FiboPivot_S1 = FiboPivot_P - (R * 0.382);

    FiboPivot_S2 = FiboPivot_P - (R * 0.618);

    FiboPivot_S1 = FiboPivot_P - (R * 1.000);

    StdPivot_P = FiboPivot_P;

    StdPivot_R3 = (2 * StdPivot_P) + (yesterday_high - (2 * yesterday_low));

    StdPivot_R2 = StdPivot_P + (yesterday_high - yesterday_low);

    StdPivot_R1 = (2 * StdPivot_P) - yesterday_low;

    StdPivot_S1 = (2 * StdPivot_P) - yesterday_high;

    StdPivot_S2 = StdPivot_P - (yesterday_high - yesterday_low);

    StdPivot_S1 = (2 * StdPivot_P) - ((2 * yesterday_high) - yesterday_low);
