I received a bonus, which almost covered the cost of transfer.

I started trading from micro lots into currencies with 1 PIPS spread, and everything was beautiful ...

execution was immediate and only time I noticed that spread was greater than 1 PIPS

So,do you say that FXClearing is a good retail broker? :-/

I think if you are really scalping, the time frame does not matter. What matters, is your strategy. Faster timeframe = higher resolution. Nothing more, nothing less.

 

I am now developing a M5 based strategy based on using linear regression to find local extremes in this time frame, with pretty good preliminary results. M5 works better than M15, just because there are more info for my system.

 

In any case, you can still confirm your M5 based signals based by other information from slower timeframes, like H1 (I experiment with this too).

For me trading is completely about money management .. agreed indicators help in getting better entries and exits but they are never perfect .. while having a sound money management helps a lot in a long run.

I agree with you jinhar,I trade since 2006 and only now in 2009 I am begining to be profitable month by month when I use proper money and risk management to all my trades....that's a lesson I learned loosing around 80% on my initial trading capital!

I also trade now using only pivot lines,S/R levels and some really good trading signals providers!And I can tell you that is is better this way with no more squiggly lines and fancy indicators.....

I have an ea that monitors/counts actual tick counts etc.. The brokers I have for demo include FXDD, FxPro, NordMarkets, FXSol Australia and Collective.. My live accounts are on 3 of those.. I have noticed in the last 2 weeks that FXDD tick count is way down... As of Today the FxPro tick count now exceeds FXDD.. That has not happened since Ive been doing this stuff (2 years).. FXDD has always kinda been my bell weather if you will.. Well that has changed.. I am now kinda getting eratic tick and volume counts with them.. The ONLY thing I can contribute this sudden 2 week downturn to in just this one broker is the NFA junk....

Well actually OIL is the biggest money mover on the planet.. No matter how you trade it OIL moves more cash than anything.. I trade oil almost every day on several brokers, including some forex brokers, FxPro being one..

Heres what OIL has done Today.. Several 100 pip or more trends..
