The CFRN method is called "Slingshot", it's a classical one and basically about trying to catch high probability pullbacks.

The setup is:

1. the prices are coming to the EMA (they call it the BBC).

2. Slow smoothed stochatics is in "over bought" or "over sold" - which means that there is a significant trend.

3. Fast smoothed stochastics is following the movement of the price to catch the pullbacks.

The indicators are:

1. The BBC = 21 EMA.

2. Slow Stoch: %D:5, %K:21, Smoothing:7 You should make the K transperent and leave the smoothed line.

3. Fast Stoch: %D:2, %K:7, Smoothing:2 You should make the K transperent and leave the smoothed line.

4. There is a faster MA with color change - You could use the BBT_MA for it (search for the BBT indictors in the forum) .

This system is very good in trending markets and very bad in ranging markets.

You could filter out the ranging markets. Thus when the EMA is flat and the faster MA is dancing around it.

IMHO, Michael is a very good trader and I really advice everyone to try out the CFRN trading room for their 1 week free.

Their manual system uses hybrid renkos + auto SR lines + trigger lines + envelopes. (a nice copy of Nexgen).

I would dismiss all the other colorful indicators, but in general it looks like a decent system.

I think thyat the answer lies in the question...

The best way to deal with big losses is to keep them small...

Sometimes it is better to have many small losses (with a lower winning percentage), than big losses with higher winning percentage.

Terrible that one must wait for one to complete 15 minutes laster before the next can be downloaded.

 

Thanks for posting, better than nothing....

RS checks your IP in order to make the 15 min. delay.

Sometimes it helps to disconnect the internet and to connect it again after 1 min. - (it then connects with a new IP).

I use it all the time to downlosd from RS continually avoiding the 15 mins. limit :)>-

I tested the system now for appr. a month and found the trend indicator not very useful. Nevertheless if you combine the idea with other trend systems it is a good strategie to scalp some pips with low risk.

The system consists of a very special indicator: MACD-BB collecting data from 3 TF's

I didn't check it yet, but looks very promising - a good filter for entering the market only when 3 TF's are really trending.

I read that in Tradestation commissions are 2.2$ + spread (0.7-1 pips) for 1 lot EURUSD.

You need to make 10 trades/month to get the platform for free (probably the best platform in the market).

Anyone tried Tradestation with Forex? are they good enough? :-??
