I need a good THANKING! :))

This is a little purchase I made a few days ago. It's not a 'double your account every month' but I liked the relatively low draw-downs and thought that across two pairs and several time-frames it may be worth looking into. The website had lots of good reviews about the developer in general and also this specific EA.
Unfortunately I have been unable to even remotely replicate the results. It came with set files for the pair/time-frame so it's really frustrating. Developer says that Alpari NZ data was used. I just downloaded the Metaquotes data.
 
I did the English translation of both the instructions and the decompiled (also me) ex4. Due to the limitations of online translators I had to make an educated guess at some words / sentences so please bear this in mind. It shouldn't matter if you simply want to use the included set files, however if you wish to put some effort into understanding and optimization it may. For a coder I sure there would be no problem.
 
The graphs below are from back-tests commenced Jan09. Full reports are included in the download.

Boussena EA.....HERE IT IS!
 
Boys & girls the cat is out of the bag. I purchased Boussena's EA & I'm sharing it.
For those that guessed it was a version of X-bars, you are quite correct. I have not compared the difference in the coding, perhaps someone would like to do that.
Unfortunately Boussena's EA is not as spectacular as you might think. The S.L. used on his mt4stats accounts is 210 pips. He is extremely fortunate not to have incurred a loss to date otherwise he will lose most of the account. Incidentally he told me that it is a micro cent account, so the risk is really minimal should the account be wiped out anyway.
In a nutshell the settings are way over-leveraged and if he continues with these settings a huge loss is certain to come.
I conducted many back-tests starting at various points in time and none of them lasted more than about 6 weeks / 2 months before being margin called.
He also includes 2x other set files which are less aggressive. I haven't had much success with them either although I haven't put a lot of time into these.
 
Please test it out & post your results and share your comments.

Found this EA on ebay with a US$600,000 price tag. It belongs to www.ct$for3x.com.
The reality is that they are really selling a managed account service.
They actually provide investor login to their demo accounts which overall look alright. If you download the file below it will give you all the details.

It is actually a bundle of 5 EA's and they all have a T.P. which is >2X the S.L. (S.L's are arounf 120pips)
I can't see why these accounts couldn't be copied with a trade copier if you wanted to. Given the large S.L. & T.P they are a perfect candidate.

This script enables you to close a hedged position and only pay 1x spread instead of 2.
I find it very useful for scaling out of winning positions, as I can just place pending limit orders at my TP levels and then use this script to close close out the 'opposite orders' and only pay 1x spread.

Example:
Long GU 1.00 lots @ 1.5800
Short GU 0.33 lots @ 1.5850 (+50 pip ) - a filled Sell Limit Order
Short GU 0.33 lots @ 1.5900 (+100 pips) - a filled Sell limit Order
 
If you ran the script now it would close out the 2x short positions of 0.33 lots as well as simultaneously close 0.66 lots of the long position, banking the profit and you only pay 1 spread. 0.34 lots long would be left open.
 
I think it's pretty cool - I wish I knew about it years ago.

Has anybody noticed the www.metatraderglobal.com sites. There is one for for 11 different countries. They are promoting Metatrader4 For Dummies and MQL4 For Dummies as a way of soliciting email addresses.
I tried to download MQL4 For Dummies from the website but the link was broken. I emailed them and they sent me the following. I don't know much about mql4 (just started learning) and I haven't looked through it very much yet, but it should be helpful to those learning how to code in mql.
