  1. Can anyone identify the candle patterns at the point of entry for the two buy trades for EU

    Hi hermanhess,

It appears that the trader uses support/resistance for these 2 trades, as highlight in my chart below. If ntynamoo could help explain the reasons behind it will be great. There are some explanations (in korean language) besides the chart for these entries.

  2. Hi saambask,

I believe different people have different level of requirement for a system's rules and explanations, since we all come from vast types of background. So understandable some will definitely request for more precise rules of entries/exits while others prefer compromising and twisting instead.

Your range breakout system is definitely one of the better one that I find workable. Hourly chart could be an issue to some working people, but it is something worth looking into. Again, I would like to thank you for your kind sharing. It does make my learning curve much better.

    Collin

  3. Hi Collin,

Thank you so much for the template. Can you pls kindly expalin a little on how you set the range of the breakout and what is your entry point for the buy & sell. Also how do you use the MFI to helps?

    Thank you

    Hi derricktan,

I only uses the H1 time frame, as shown in saambask's chart. About the money flow indicator, saambask mentions using it for the exit rules which I didn't really make use of since I prefer my personal exit methods instead (ratio 1:1 or exit at big numbers).

The only indicator that I watch is the 3 MAs, which as long as any of them starts crossing I will look for the BB squeezing sign. Once BB starts to show sign of breaking out of the squeeze I start putting in stop entries 10 pips away from both the top and bottom BB (indicated by saambask post in the beginning). Use the other end of the BB line as your stoploss.

This is just my first demo test, so some of the rules may need to be tweeted along the way.

    Regards,

    Collin

  4. Thanks for this breakout system

    Hi saambask,

Just want to drop a note saying thanks to your system. I read the book on Bollinger Band by the author before on squeeze breakout, but have never thought of a better mechanical technique for entering the breakout. Your method of using 3 MAs does provide some good ideas to ponder over, so here are the results of the quick demo I had this afternoon.

  5. Systemfortraders website

Where can I find systemfortraders website? Thanks.

From the systemfortraders' review it seems that the forum administrator is pretty negative about the system since the fx system's author did not reply to any of his 3 emails. However, I am not sure if the administrator really test it out. So far it seems profitable at the ff. You could visit the systemfortraders website at

  6. Set files parameters

    Hi PyeR2,

Thanks for kindness in sharing this EA.

I was going through the set files and apparantly there are more parameters in the set files that those required in the EA. Any idea what should be done about it? Somehow I am unable to republicate the results shown in the backtest using the set files provided.

One more question: is grbusd the same as gbpusd?

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Collin

  7. Collin, I 've added the tradestation version from your link... I'm still getting dll issues, was the TS version open? or is there something I'm doing wrong here..

maybe somebody else can confirm.. cheers guys ..

    Frank

    Hello Frank,

I understand your frustration and I really wish I could help. But honestly I have no experience with TS, so I am not sure if these set of indicators need extra education.... Maybe someone with better experience could help look into it?

    Regards,

    Collin

  8. Demo account

Happens to see the forward test results (with login to the broker's account) at Donnaforex's site. Looks good. Someone also claims the backtest results are similar to the published results on the web. Any kind soul willing to share a copy of this ea?

    Regards,

    Collin

  9. Re: (REQ) High Velocity Market Master

I have tired but I cant get it to upload always get file to big. I have used picsa to resize but cant get it small enough and still readable.

I haven't used a file sharing site before to share a file maybe I need to look into it

    Thanks for looking into it.

You can use 4shared as the creation of userid is pretty straight forward. Please let me know if you need further assistance in this area. I can be reached easily via PM.

  10. Re: (REQ) High Velocity Market Master

reinhj the settings I am using are from when they first got the idea to trade range bars on MT4. With what I have seen so far the only change is in the long/short cal indicators

It appears that the mom indy is no longer used and everything is based on the profitline directional and osob indicators

now from what i can gather in the new cal indicators you can set your own setup early exit and stoploss signals. How I have them worked out for now is when the profitline changes say to a short the first bar to the right of the profitline is the entry bar as long as the osob is pointing down and over the 0.5 line enter 6 pips below the close

Early exit would be if the osob changes back to a long then I put a early exit 6 pips above that range bar

Will be great to our hands on the real deal will save alot of bother lol lol

    Hello outcast,

Thanks for your explanations. Would you be kind enough to show some diagrams on your entries and exits signals? I am still trying hard to understand your methodologies as it seems very profitable. I am not sure if you would prefer to write it into a manual instead for easy reference.

    Thanks again for the help.

    Regards,

    Collin

  11. Re: (REQ) High Velocity Market Master

    10 trades

9 to full target of 18 pips

    1 to a loss of 14 pips

    Hello outcast,

Did you use MT4 platform for the range bar trading? If so, could you advise how you go about doing it? I was going through the videos but no information was given on this.

    Thanks and appreciate your advise.

    Regards,

    Collin
