I already have some legacy data but it has a limited description field of 18 characters. I'm told the MSLocal format has been enhanced and updated and assume it will capture longer descriptions as well as possibly other new features. I was trying to find a copy of data in MSLocal format to analyze the files.

Is there anyone who has data files in the new Metastock MSLocal format and can share some small sample?

Thanks. Many books have graphics as well which I assume do not translate over? Also, I am not able to connect on EMule for either KAD or eD2K networks. Is there something I'm missing? I have tested my UDP and TDP ports and they are working.

Torriggiani's book mentions two other software programs besides Battleplan. They are Oscilla and Pitagora.

I'm working on the translation. Very tedious but I am about 2/3rds of the way through it.

From some quick research, I find that Giuseppe Torreggiani was a student of Guiseppe Migliorino, an engineer and highly regarded cycle analyst who published several books. I just tried partial and full variations of the file name with no luck.

I find that it has been encrypted with Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider 1.0, in case anyone knows how to decrypt this.

Wish this was a simple password needed to open, but it shows the file is encrypted by a Cryptographic Service Provider. When a file is encrypted by a Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP), it means a special software module used a cryptographic algorithm to scramble the file's data, making in unreadable without the correct decryption key.

Mikula sells his own charting software called Market Warrior. The charts are likely from an older version of this program. Here is the link to the software. The "download" name in the link you are using has been discontinued. You cannot download comma delimited historical data from that link any longer. However, if you replace "chart" instead of the word "download" you will get output, but it is in JSON format. As mentioned in earlier posts, YLOADER has been repaired and is working. It can output and append data to existing files. Also, Amibroker has a component that allows for downloading that was patched here as well. I fixed the patch to also append data.
