Time and Sales: Fact versus Fiction

logicgate said: "because everyone has the deep pockets to open a 683 lot position" If you knew how to read time and sales (it's obvious you don't) you'd recognize that as a "block order" of retail orders submitted by the brokerage firm. You've assumed that all trades with a similar timestamp (same second) are from the same source, which is a wrong assumption, especially since a few of them are odd lots, and big firms do not trade in odd lot sizes - 146, 147, 65, etc. Furthermore, as I said, they can execute millions of trades a second and they have up to 10 seconds to report a trade. In other words, you are just fooling yourself if you think you're reading order flow, you're not.1 point -
This will show you the total volume of the bar, but not the bid and ask volume separately, and also it won´t be filtered.1 point

You have to right click the image and open in a new tab so see it full size. Usually the people who ditch and "burn" methods are the people who can´t use them, like this Don guy. Their mentality is "If I can´t use it, nobody else can, it is a lie" Institutions can´t cover their tracks, that is the whole point of VSA, trading in their shadow. IT does not matter if the orders happen between nanoseconds or pico seconds , they will still gonna be merged because they are inside the same second, I can even merge big filtered orders that happen in 2seconds or 20, 30... The only way they can hide their size is using iceberg orders , you can easily see that on the DOM when a price level has just a few orders and on the tape you have a gazillion orders printing at that level, effort vs result.1 point

New Link Don Kaufman - About Time and Sales -2/22/16: http://www.mediafire.com/?z0m4sri5e3f3i3f Logicgate, With all due respect, your knowledge of time and sales appears to be about 20 years behind the times. Some important points to keep in mind: (1) Orders can now be executed in nanoseconds (billionths of a second), i.e., millions of orders can be executed in a second, and (2) firms can and do both buy and sell the same product in nanoseconds, to cover their tracks, (3) there can be as long as a 30 second delay in reporting orders, (4) dark pool exchanges can and do buy and sell between the bid/ask (in nanoseconds), and these orders will not not displayed in the traditional exchanges order book. I could go on but I'll let Don explain it....1 point -

Chris Lori spoke yesterday at the TradeOn Summit 2020 Price Action Goes Far Deeper than a Candlestick Price Action is a broad term for price behaviors that maintain logical structure. This video takes a deeper look at liquidity, price relationships, microstructure, order flow and the fractal nature of the market. How price moves. Why price moves and where price is going. https://www.sendspace.com/file/4bw471 Enjoy1 point

MAKING SENSE OF PRICE ACTION: PRICE ACTION PROFITS - How To Follow The Smart Money Are you tired of losing money in the market by buying at the top of a move and selling at the bottom? Are you tired of seeing the market move higher, suddenly and without notice, and you’re not on board? Have you ever doubted your analysis and have been told prices are totally random? Do you want to know the truth behind market movements and how smart money controls market prices? This course teaches you the concept of how smart money players accumulate, manipulate, distribute currency, stocks, futures and crypto and profit off of your trades. Smart money exists in every market. It’s their business to take your money. They control supply and the demand in every market. We recorded an incredible, eye-opening, revealing set of videos with Scott Foster, one of the greatest price readers in the world. He reminds me a little bit of Eric Hoffer (the famous “Longshoreman Philosopher”), but instead of philosophy Scott is a genius in price action analysis. Over the past couple of years he’s made some price predictions in the forex market that I thought were impossible, but they came true. Last year he started giving me price predictions on cryptocurrency prices too. One prediction, in particular, I disagreed with strongly. In February this year XRP, a cryptocurrency I have a strong interest in, was trading for about 31 cents. It had been going up and I expected it to go much higher. I asked him to do an analysis of XRP using his method. He said it was going to drop to the 14 cent range on the next move. I strongly disagreed, but since he had been right on nearly every call he made over the past year – in a lot of different markets – I listened, and prepared to accumulate more XRP -IF- his prediction came true. Well on the week March 10th, 2020, his prediction came true. XRP dropped to a low of approx. 11 cents before closing at 15 cents on the week. I was able to accumulate more at a lower price than I thought would ever happen thanks to his analysis and prediction. I needed to understand his method so I invited him to discuss it with me asap -IF- he could explain it in terms I understood! That was important because if he could explain it in a way anyone can understand it then he really does have a valuable method that can be taught and shared with others. Well, he came through and what he taught me in our session together was nothing short of eye-opening, easy and extremely accurate for predicting prices in any trade-able financial asset. His entire method is based on identifying manipulation of, and following the ‘smart money’. He said the smart money is in a constant campaign in the markets which includes accumulation, market-up, distribution and the inverse: distribution, mark-down and accumulation phases. I’m a student of Richard Wyckoff’s methods so I understood what he was talking about, but he made it easy to understand even if I knew nothing of Wyckoff’s methods. Being able to detect what the ‘smart money’ is doing is like being in the same room with them, reviewing their private game plan and taking positions on the same side. While nothing is 100% fool-proof or works 100% of the time, I am so confident in his method that I have converted all my trading analysis to include his methods and excluded the majority of technical indicators I used. Based on his method, typical ‘indicators’ are a distraction. After the recording our sessions together, I created a file full of bullet points and notes every 15 minutes or so of his method as he taught it to me. I then created a video that includes those notes for myself so I have a better understanding of his method of analysis. Without a doubt this is one of the most powerful strategies for predicting price action in any trade-able assets: stocks (including futures, ETF’s, etc), forex and crypto. Here’s a simple take-away: Smart money constantly seeks liquidity which is the tool they use to put your money into their pockets. Every market has smart money intererests. Since stocks first started trading on exchanges in 1653 ‘smart money’ uses participants to privide liquidty for their own profit-making purposes. Smart money is still active today, maybe even more so. These could be specialists on the New York Stock exchange, market makers on the Nasdaq, interbank dealers in Forex markets or market makers and ‘whales’ in the crypto markets. This course will teach you how to identify, track and piggy-back smart money intead of fighting against them. The course will give you the edge you’ve been looking for that’s been missing in your trading. A veteran of the Forex markets, the presenter has studied smart money movements for years and reveals it all in this course. The examples used in this course are from the forex markets, but apply to any market.
