U can try  with ninjatrader 8.0.28

That sucks and odd for sure. I just added the .dll and complied, restarted and all good

I have tried again putting the dll, compiled and restarted NT. It seems to be working fine now.

Not sure but why would you want to backtest on strategy analyzer with ninzarenko anyway?

I think that's because you need to enable it from the custom UI as by default it will be off when you start the strategy. The developper would need to add toggles for autoX, long/short etc from the input parameters to allow backtesting.
