Yes, and F1.dat, F2.dat, etc in MS are symbols.

Hi,

 

On my side, YLOADER ( v5.0.1.9 ) can't create file in native Metastock format (F1.DAT...etc ) but only ASCII file (.csv) and only Yahoo and QuoteMedia (Google NOK) data download is available with free download.

Then you must try import ASCII file in Metastock V11 EOD

If you want download and create directly file in native Metastock format, you must use MLDOWNLOADER but it's not longer available with free MSN data after 03/30 2017

I have informed "trading-tools.com" about the yloader tool to "update" the ML Dowloader so that it can work with (free) Yahoo data again.

There's nothing to "update" Yahoo hasn't offered free data for 6 months now.

The best solution is to use yloader + convert2MS

Yloader downloads ascii files ...

Convert2MS converts ascii file to proprietary metastock format (master, f1, f2 ...)

 

If someone helps me set up C2MS (I have little time available) for 11 metastock pro would be great

Yes, you are right, but it's ok for testing,

 

for my side, to have more reliable data, I use Metatrader + EA Currency Loader (with RT Broker), which gives .CSV virtually updated in real time (it depends on the settings)

 

For my real trading, i use Ninjatrader or Motivewave or Metatrader

Yes correct, you can see two pics of yesterday's upload for some world indices, yahoo's data uploaded with HSQuote v1.90 and viewied with TheDownloader.
