Thanks for the updated wrapped .exe file. We really appreciate all the time and effort you put in.

 

I'm having problems with the updated.exe file though.

When I try to run Bookmap, I get this error and Ninjatrader locks up and I have to Kill Ninjatrader through Task Manager.

 

I tried Bookmap on a clean Ninjatrader (no other indicators) thinking there might be some conflict with something, but same results.

 

I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this problem?

 

The original .jar file works perfect. If it's just my system, no worries. I can still run the .jar file.

@zbear, I'm no expert and haven't tried running this yet but maybe try disabling "smartscreen filter" in your security settings of your internet browser?

Which installer do we use ? i downloaded from the site both 4.4.0_b125 and 4.5.0_b144_beta and tried it but cant make it work.

 

i followed the steps of kmilo as he said, on post 51

Btw. @kmilo: I can name the exe as I want, even the rabbit-a** and it works ok...

I opened bookmap under administrator asks me license.

If I open it from ninja comes out the screen but then it disappears

You'll need 4.4.0_b123 installer.

@marketrulez - Have you tried right-clicking on the .exe and choosing 'Run as Administrator'? Even though my login profile has admin rights, I initially got a similar message as you - but explicitly choosing to run the exe as Administrator brought it to life. Something to try at least....

No Windows 10 here. Running Windows 8.1. I would downgrade to Windows 7 if they had drivers for my system.

 

The original Bookmap.exe works fine with my system. It's only BookmapE.exe and BookmapE2.exe which is still crashing Ninjatrader.

 

It seems BookmapE2.exe is working for most others.

 

I'm happy with the .jar file as it is bulletproof and hasn't crashed once.

Indeed, it means: running as a "Elevated Administrator" what is equal to true administrator.

Seems to me, that most of the reported issues is related to limited permissions for the files located in the folder:

c:\Program Files (x86)\BookMap

 

You can find and watch on YT how to fix/change them (the permissions) in W8.x W10.

@khnco, I did steps 1-3 then imported the bookmap indicator into Ninja, shutdown and restarted Ninja. Then I started a chart and added the bookmap indicator then ran bookmap.exe and it worked fine.

I'd like to help you, but I need some extra details.

You have Win 7, but I don't know if it's 32 or 64 bit? Pro/Home/...

Which Java components have you installed (if any) - Java SE Runtime Environment or SE Development Kit (32 or 64 or both)

 

Based on your screenshot BM is trying to load the library which doesn't exist in the original installation of BM (?)

\lib\jni4net.n.w64.v40-0.8.6.0.dll

there is only \lib\jni4net.n.w32.v40-0.8.6.0.dll

 

Have you tried to run the original BM on your PC?

 

Uninstall BM and start from the scratch.

Run you favorite filemanager (it can be Explorer), but in the admin mode: Run as Administrator ...

Check to see if in the folder \Program Files\ and \Program Files (x86)\ still exist(s) subfolder BookMap - if yes then remove it (them) with all of the contents.

Be prepared for instalation BM 44 b123.

Don't do anything more. I'm waiting...
