admis Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 admis is there still hope? fingers crossed:) http://forum.exetools.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9 Thanks xio... I'd better stay at Konloch ByteCode Viewer (https://bytecodeviewer.com/) klhk is right. Most of java tools looks very archaic. It's like come back to the past... xioxxio 1
admis Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) To be honest with you, it is too tiring, as for me, to play more in this strange java world. Just enough! Not everything I was in a position to recompile using the available tools. Quite possible, because I'm just an java noob. Fortunately, I've found an old patched release of TurboActivate, which radically reduced the amount of work. Please don't even ask me anymore in the future to do something related to java. Never ever again! This is the fix package for BM44_123, which you have to obtain by yourself and install. I choosed this release, because this is the last supported CQG Trader/IC; the latest supports only CQG_web. There is no exe, but jar file. When you have installed java in Windows, it's enough to click on this file in explorer window. You can run it: java -jar bm44_123.jar https://www.sendspace.com/file/pthrc8 btw: If somebody has more time to spare - can prepare an exe wrapper (ex. launch4j) Edited May 27, 2016 by admis typo in cmd Clau, holrthnthou, Abhishek Shetty and 21 others 24

holrthnthou Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) It's for ninja 7 I am using it on NT7. I wonder if I need to reinstall the new version of BookMapIndicator.zip ? edit: installed the 44_123 indicator. same error I am thinking this is a user error on my end. I placed the fixed jar file in Bookmap directory but i think i need the exe wrapper to replace the BookMap.exe file instead. #apologies Edited May 26, 2016 by holrthnthou
admis Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Screenshot: https://www.sendspace.com/file/csvajg Got it. Thanks. I'll see it. Edit: it can be my oversight... Take it easy, I'll check it... Edited May 26, 2016 by admis marketrulez, holrthnthou, ⭐ ESVepara and 4 others 7
admis Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 I've checked it out once again and it works ok with Ninja (no adjustments are required) Pay attention, in the current releases of BM there is no Ninja item in menu to choose it as data feed. Although, it's still possible, but you have to run BM with the parameter: ninja@ RICHI, holrthnthou and xioxxio 3
holrthnthou Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 Layperson here... trying to figure out the steps. 1. install BM44_123 2. replace Turboactivate directory 3. replace bookmap.exe with exe wrapper of the jar admis posted Are these the only steps needed? Thanks in advance. ⭐ oac9277 and ⭐ nadjib 2
xioxxio Posted May 26, 2016 Report Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) Admis, I cannot thank you enough.:) Please dont give up on BM :) Now you know the trick :) Edited May 26, 2016 by xioxxio admis 1

Thanks in advance. Keep in mind to install BookMapIndicator.zip in NT (compliant version of BM) There is no exe wrapper in my package - only the jar file: bm44_123_Fix.jar You can run it: (from BookMap folder) .\jre\bin\java.exe -jar bm44_123_Fix.jar ninja@ or just: bm44_123_Fix.jar ninja@ You can also make the shortcut to bm44_123_Fix.jar Edited May 26, 2016 by admis xioxxio, iksak, ⭐ flipper26 and 11 others 14

You always seem to have the magic touch to everything impossible. For others having trouble installing, I found out on my computer, I need to install under "Administrator". Clicking the bm44_123_Fix.jar in the Windows Explorer did not work for me Here are my steps to run the bm44_123_Fix.jar under Adminstrator. Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Windows System Right-click Command prompt, and then click Run as administrator. In Adminstrator:Command Prompt window type in: cd C:\Program Files (x86)\BookMap .\jre\bin\java.exe -jar bm44_123_Fix.jar ninja@ The only problem is you need to keep the Adminstrator:Command Prompt window open during the session. admis Posted May 27, 2016 Report Posted May 27, 2016 Thanks zbear for the helpful clarification... ;) One simple thing, which is worth to keep in mind: Most of us has a driver licence (what is almost obvious). Despite this, there is still a huge difference between us and rally drivers... It applies to the computer usage, trading and other professions.
