This could be due to the following reasons: The file has been removed because of a ToS/AUP violation. I suspect they're reacting to the fact that their conversion rate of free account to paid account holders has been poor. So mega is no longer suitable for sharing large sets of files, at least not in an open forum like this where over 100 people may download them.
