Looks like the old version whci was already educated has been re-shared here.

ATD sent a link and as this link no longer works, we do not know what was in there.

 

So we are awaiting the edu of the latest version with important enhancements.

A new version with major improvements has been released. It would be great if someone is able to educate so more members here at II may benefit.

Major improvements are:

- More advanced trend indicator taking into account multiple time frames

- Indication of retracements which are not part of the logic pattern. Without these indications you may get lost in overseeing price action and the market movement.

Hi all found reason for not seeing latest version when I added the dll---

at least on my end anyway

I had previously had the RPT.... .cs provided a while ago by admis(Thanks)--

Then I deleted the .cs file compiled any indi and wallah now shows the latest version as mentioned and fixed by atd(Thanks)

Hi Guys,

 

Profile, thank you for introducing this indicator to us. and many thanks to admis, newbie and others.

 

I watched a short video of the indicator at the following clip

Upon watching this i think there might be another update to this indicator than we currently have. The indicator in the video shows the PFI strength as well ie.

PFI: Sell(Weak) // PFI:Sell(Moderate) // PFI:Sell(Strong)

PFI: Buy(Weal // PFI:Buy(Moderate) // PFI:Buy(strong)

Which is interpreted as follows

Weak (Buy/Sell) for New emerging Trend based on the current chart

Moderate(Buy/Sell) for established trend based on current chart and one higher time frame chart

Strong(Buy/Sell) based on multiple long term charts

Neutral - for consolidating and non trending markets.

 

Currently the indicator that we have should only PFI:Buy; PFI:Neutral and PFI:Sell but not their strength.

 

Hope some one get their hands on the latest one and share with the community.

 

Based on the little info that had read on this so far, it might be one of the best indicator to forecast price action.....still a long ways to go from my end to have a good handle on this one.

Novicetrader, Good to read that you like the method. It gets more exited when you analyse the hod on your own charts. Must read is his book at https://www.sendspace.com/file/74a1k9

The method is nothing new, he just glued some existing techniques together in a simple straightforward way. I believe he added the close principle instead of using the high/low of the bar. When you apply this approach, you see it makes the difference....... See his book.

 

PFI indicator: Yes, I noticed that as well. The version number of the indi is correct, so I do not know how it is possible that it behaves different.
