Bill Bundle
I decided to try out Yahoo's Real Time data feed using its 30 day free trial, but so far it seems to be restricted to just their own sock analysis program. Here's some screen shots. What they advertise: .http://s5.postimage.org/vojf4rrbr/Yahoo_RT.png . The Yahoo finance website has a page where you can create your own free watchlists and portfolios. Their real time data platform links to your free watchlist account and displays them with real time data changes. .http://s5.postimage.org/o609w4zyv/Watch_List_Yahoo_RT.png . You can use these watch lists and create a live chart or insert another symbol to show its chart. .http://s5.postimage.org/5eyclz5ef/Chart_Yahoo_RT.png . So far that's all I can tell about how a Yahoo RT subscription works. I don't see any parameters, dll's, or any other way for an external program to link to Yahoo RT. Does anyone else here know if Yahoo RT data can be used by any other trading platform? I've heard that streaming data can be obtained for symbols from other worldwide exchanges and for forex, but I haven't found any way to do that. ⭐ kesk
There are quite a few programs that extract real time or delayed quotes from yahoo finanace website. The only real time quote is NSE India. Others are delayed from 15-45min. These programs extract the quote from webpage and then stream these data to Amibroker, Metastock or using DDE to any other program. http://www.shareguru.in/ http://chartsdata.com/ http://www.marketcalls.in/amibroker/my-quotes-free-yahoo-intraday-realtime-data-update-for-amibroker.html http://www.manshi.co.in/ They are either subscription based or purchase. Also, most of them are geared towards NSE India exchange and hence the symbols are from the exchange. So if you want to try new ones, it could get tricky. Hope this helps.
Bill Bundle
thankyou, I haven't tried wealthlab, but I've been using RTQdownloader. It's seems to have been downloading data without the real time subscription, but maybe now it will be better. Do you know where I can get a cracked version of wealthlab v5.1 that I can try? I like to be able to download quotes from other exchanges around the world, not just India. Is Wealth Lab a data downloader or a data analyzer? Thank you, Bill Edited December 1, 2012 by Bill Bundle

indo37
1. Wealth-lab is a TA program like Amibroker, TR, Metastock...... You need a datafeed, if you are not a customer of Fidelity - Fidelity only accepts customers from USA 2. Amibroker latest version PLUS Amiquote latest version should be able to use Yahoo RT (paid) and Yahoo 15min delay(free). Regards P.s. So we need a fu.....g AB/AQ combo with identical installation cracks. Bill Bundle

Bill Bundle
login yahoo with ms ie and tick option keep me sign in. so login information will be saved to your system and continue with RTQ. I heard that windows has a dll that transfers Yahoo RT data from ms ie to the platform or program. I wonder if there's a way to find out what the dll is and how to reverse engineer it?
