Bill Bundle
Does RTQdownloader work with TradeStation as a real time data source?
FX_SuperTrader
Does RTQdownloader work with TradeStation as a real time data source? I do not tried, because not market in this moment, but I believe that these steps can help you. Tradestation 8.7 + Owndata 2.7: RTQ export data in ASCII, Metastock and SierraChart format. Tradestation read ASCII intraday and Metastock only daily, but SierraChart format, I don´t know (I did not try). All data real time must enter to Tradestation across Owndata. In OD 2.7, in "Datasources" look UniversalDDE, and clone. Rename this new UniversalDDE to RTQ, next select Setting and configure: Template: RTQ Trade Price =RTQ|Bid!'*' Trade Volume =RTQ|Bidsize!'*' Bid Price =RTQ|Bid!'*' Bid Size =RTQ|Bidsize'*' Ask Price =RTQ|Ask!'*' Ask Size =RTQ|Asksize'*' If do not work with Asksize, try with Askvolume or other possibility, also if do not work with '*' replace this with your stock symbol in all rows, for example: =RTQ|Ask!MSFT , also in volume (obviously, the symbol is a same of Yahoo). The same steps can be applicable for Metatrader, but write MT4 in place of RTQ. In this case remember rename a template to MT4. And SAVE (look button above). Next push button "Test" and enter your symbol, wait a moment and the prices appear in Test window, if not work change any word in you configuration; and if not work...Go to drink a beer and return later. With MT4 work very well, but I can´t enter a Volume, and tried with different settings. I assume that this will also work for TS9.0 with OD2.7. Also, I think its very useful to know that this method can be used for MT4 and it would be good if the issue with volume data could be resolved, because I am trying to use the TradeGuider plugin for MT4. Currently with MT4, I can only link to a forex broker and I'm interested in linking it with Yahoo for stock data. If you ever figure out how to link volume from RTQ to MT4, please let me know. I assume that this will also work for TS9.0 with OD2.7. Hi Bill Bundle; TS 9.0 or higher only work with Owndata 3.0 (or Higher), but this version has a USB key. I search in the web but I did not find her. Owndata 2.7 work very well with TS 8.7 or 8.6. In the case of the Volume and Open Interest of datafeeds eSignal, Reuters, Bloomberg, etc of Officials Markets is very reliable. But the volume of CFD´s of MT4 of any Brokers...I don´t know... If I have any news I send you.
FX_SuperTrader
Does anyone have the user's manual for OwnData 2.7? I haven´t a manual. But Owndata is the same soft than Quotemanager of Multicharts. Search in Multicharts.com video sections, where explain how connect datafeed or ASCII mapping, etc.

To begin with I plan on using RTQdownloader while I'm learning TS8.7 and I'd like to find out more about how the UniversalDDE is used. I usually like to have the user's manuals for the programs that I use. Thanks for the info. Have you seen the portable RTQ? http://indo-investasi.com/showthread.php/19546-RTQDownloader-V1-5?p=245187&viewfull=1#post245187 I still need to test it.
