eggzactly
In real market they will fail. But if you observe the markets there are some signals from brokers differences that can go to more then 10 pips and really good opportunities for scalping or even reversal on trends or confirming breakouts, just need to see the signs. Example of scalping opportunity : This happens on extreme levels. At this levels brokers like IBfx, Alpari, FX Pro stop price movement untill all market go above/below to secure hedging volume. Today happened again when EURUSD top at 1.3680 area, ATC was at 1.3685/86 - IBFx was minus 13 pips and Alpari minus 10 pips, so take action is like wait to see if price go to same level and then in this case short for 10/20 pips - today gives about 18 pips. Usually this can give at least 10 pips profit easy. This is not manipulation of prices it's supply/demand witheen dealer's clients and we can observe this many times, and even develop a strategy based on that. Hope this help understand a bit more about forex markets and behaviours in brokers feeds. here is a link where you all can see statistics http://www.fxintel.com/live/ regards, askalas, huuu and execution

eggzactly
Interesting point, but how do you decide on which direction to take the trade? You need to watch the extreme levels, for isntance if market is on swing up, and price on market makers are so distance from ECN brokers, we assume that is extreme level from top, and these brokers can´t secure hedging volume, so we can expect a short trade. Just observed this for some time and you get the pace of market. regards, Pheniox and huuu
askalas
I agree with huu, its an interesting perspective. I'm just having a hard time believing that there exist such big price differences. Maybe for a few seconds. Not enough during an hour to produce the avg differences that shows at FXIntel. Have you observed these differences at FXIntel or comparing on MT4? Not saying your're not on to something here eggzactly. Perhaps even a fraction of a pip avg difference during a period of time might show an upcoming move... Or maybe you've observed some other curr pair than me? (I looked at EURUSD)
eggzactly
few seconds is not significative to confirm at least the moves i refer too. Yesterday was about 5 minutes the difference and on IBfx was 18 pips difference, Alpari 10 pips. I watch mt4 platforms, since i have accounts on both brokers ( ATC & Alpari ). regards,

eggzactly
Hi eggzactly, So, you want to say that ATC is faster than Alapri uk and Interbankfx? cuz i can see that ATC is too sleepy and not moving but Alpari uk is moving fine and fast Regards, We must not seen same brokers, for instance at this top on eur, ATC go to extreme level, 4 pips above the Alpari UK - i sold at 1.3813, to partial close my long position on short timeframe cycle. I´m talking about classic account on Alpari, the demo is Alpari Pro, almost the same as ATC. regards, Edited February 24, 2011 by eggzactly
